If this option is activated, the BIOS chacks whether the format which has
been set in the parameters is supported by the connected drive. If not, an
error message is issued during booting (if this option has been
activated).

Boot Sequence Set the boot media sequence:
A:, C:
The system first attempts to boot from drive A:, then from drive C:
Typematic Sets the keyboard reaction time.
Num Lock On This option sets whether the BIOS sets the Num Lock feature on the
keyboard on or off prior to booting.
Halt on Errors If this option is activated, BIOS will stop during the start-up process in the
event of an error and will display an error message. If this option is not
activated, the BIOS continues without an error message and uses the
default values for processing. If the option is activated, the following
causes of errors can additionally be ruled out:
Keyboard Errors Keyboard errors do not generate an error message.
Disk Errors Floppy and hard disk errors do not generate an error
message.
Quick Memory-
Test
Caution: Due to hardware synchronization, this option must
not be activated
.

System Cache
You can specify the use of the processor cache.
Primary and
Secondary
The internal processor cache and the external cache are used.

Installation Manual, Station Software Version 505.04 Edition 07/2006

Secondary Cache Size
The size of the secondary cache detected by the BIOS is displayed.
Shadow and Cache Options
Sets shadow and cache options for various memory areas.
This setting is only relevant for ISA adapters, as PCI adapters are always shadowed and cached.
The Cache option can only be activated if the Shadow option has been activated.
Shadow The relevant memory area (generally an option ROM in an ISA adapter)
is copied to DRAM for faster processing.
Cache The area is also cached.

DRAM Timing
Sets the DRAM timing.
The DRAM timing is set optimally by the BIOS and will generally not need to be changed.
I/O Recovery Times
Sets the I/O recovery times in ISA bus clocks for 8-bit I/O and 16-bit I/O
DRAM Error
Sets the DRAM error handling method in the BIOS for DIMMs with a parity bit.
