4 Requirements
4.1 SIPLACE X-series, D-series and CA-series software components
4.1.1 Station
The station uses the following operating system configuration:
• Station computer: Microsoft Windows XP Professional
(including Service Pack 2 and most recent hotfixes)
• Machine controller: Microsoft Windows embedded XP (SP2)
4.1.2 Machine components
The following versions of other machine components are required for the station software to function
correctly:
Station computer SIPLACE Vision Machine controller SIPLACE Pro
Version 605.03 SP1 Version 413 Version 605.03 SP1 Version 8.0
CAUTION
The functional statuses of the station computer, vision, machine controller and SIPLACE Pro
software must be compatible.

4.1.3 Embedded software
You will find the used eSW versions listed in the eSW_Firmware_Files.txt file in the Documentation
directory on the installation CD.
The hardware status of a subsystem is identified by the 3rd digit in the file name.
The example below shows the file name of the BIOS for the main axes of the X-Series:

4.2 SIPLACE X-series and SIPLACE D3 hardware components
The following diagram shows the hardware components of the computer system for the X-series machine
types and for the SIPLACE D3 machine type of the D series:

NOTICE
The hardware configuration of the station computer and the optional Vision computer can
only be combined with a particular hardware configuration for the machine controller. See
the following table for details.
