Definition of the License Types
Factory
This license type is valid for the entire production run and is not assigned to a license server.
Single
This license type is valid in connection with a (single) station.
Object
This license type is bound to an object, in this case to the machine id. The license is unbound
until the first download to a station which requires this license type. Thereafter the license is
permanently bound to the machine id of this station.
Floating
This license type is fetched from a license server by the application and then released again
when the application is terminated. However, the number of licenses on the license server is
limited.
Lines
This license type is assigned to the placement line.

3 Prerequisites
NOTICE
System requirements
The Support Media checks the necessary system requirements of your system and
installs these. Amongst others e.g. Microsoft .NET Framework, the ASM License
Manager, the ASM Error Reporter Service and the ASM Operation Manager.
The use of the ASM Support Media 2.7 (R18-1) is mandatory.
The system requirements (supported operating systems and database variants) and an
overview of the interoperable products can be found in the ASM Support Media 2.7
(R18-1) Software Version Description, item no. [00900052-xx].
SIPLACE Pro requires an NTFS partition for the installation. FAT or FAT32 file systems are not
supported.

NOTICE
As stated in the discontinuation decision for software version 505 dated December 20,
2010, ASM Assembly Systems has finally discontinued the corresponding station
software platforms 40x and 50x for the SIPLACE S2x, SIPLACE F4, SIPLACE F5,
SIPLACE F5-HM as well as the SIPLACE HSx and SIPLACE HFx machine generations
as of July 31, 2017.
Since the mentioned SIPLACE machine generations are still in use in many productions,
electronics manufacturers in the field can continue to operate these machines with the
current SIPLACE Pro and Setup Center versions for the present.
We ask for your understanding that ASM cannot guarantee that such configured
machines can be operated in full functionality and in any combination with newer
machine generations.
If functional restrictions should occur in rare cases on the SIPLACE S2x, SIPLACE F4,
SIPLACE F5, SIPLACE F5-HM as well as on the SIPLACE HSx and SIPLACE HFx
machines, ASM Assembly Systems is not obliged to correct the error due to the
discontinuation decision specified above.
ASM Assembly Systems reserves the right to finally discontinue support for the SIPLACE
S2x, SIPLACE F4, SIPLACE F5, SIPLACE F5-HM as well as the SIPLACE HSx and
SIPLACE HFx placement machines in the SIPLACE Pro and Setup Center software
products, after having issued a timely adequate advance notice.
