Additionally, the External Board Barcode option has to be set in the respective station setup of
the first and the third station to define that the board barcodes shall be whispered from external (=
from the Board Gate Keeper on the line computer). Only external inkspots, panel fiducials and
(external) virtual inkspots can be whispered from the Board Gate Keeper to the first and the third
station.
The station software only supports one preceding whisperer. The Board Gate Keeper is then the
only preceding whisperer of the e.g. third station. Therefore, the (internal) inkspots and panel
fiducials, read by the first station, cannot be whispered e.g. from the second to the third station (via
the barcode transferred from the Board Gate Keeper to the third station). The third station has to re-
read all (internal) inkspots and panel fiducials again.
5.8 Barcode Conditions for Traceability Purposes
When reading the barcode with the board camera for traceability purposes, the Vision system shall
verify that the recognized barcode is the correct one to be used for traceability.
To avoid that an incorrect barcode is read, the user can define conditions for the barcode in the
Vision system at the station. If a barcode does not fulfill all conditions, the Vision system looks for
another barcode with valid conditions in the region of interest. The conditions are saved in the
Barcode Fiducial in SIPLACE Pro.
SIPLACE Pro Line Control sends the data to stations running station software version 711.The
data can be taught at the station and saved back into SIPLACE Pro. The barcode data cannot be
edited in SIPLACE Pro but deleted in the Fiducial Editor by pressing the Remove all vision data
button.
5.9 BOM-Merger: Automatic Component Shape Linking
The BOM Merger can create components in SIPLACE Pro although they are not yet available in
the database. The BOM Merger has been extended to automatically assign the component shape
of the component at existing component placements to the newly created component in the BOM
file.
The BOM Merger links newly created components to the already existing component shape which
is referenced by the current component of the original component placement. Components that
already exist and for which there is no reference to a component shape will also be automatically
linked to the component shape of the original component in the placement list. Conversely, existing
components which do reference a component shape will be unchanged.
Existing alternative component shapes assigned to the original component will also be transferred
to the target component. No other attributes of the original component will be transferred.

6 Restrictions
In the following, existing restrictions in SIPLACE Pro are described.
Miscellaneous
10-fold and 15-fold stick magazines cannot be combined on the same linear feeder.
SIPLACE Pro object names (e.g., recipe) must not exceed 125 ASCII characters (including
folder names).
If various users optimize the same job at the same time, the job which was most recently
completed successfully will overwrite all corresponding recipes.
The board panel hierarchy must not exceed 10 levels.
The object folder hierarchy must not exceed 10 levels.
The operator must manually place manual tray carriers (Carrier 30, Carrier 51, Carrier X,
Carrier SX, Arbitrary Carrier), glue feeders, dip modules, reject conveyors and power
connectors in the initial setup.
If you work with reduced acceleration for a component shape, this is seen as a "special case"
and the accuracy of 5% for the simulated Optimizer production time will not be achieved.
The Optimizer does not check if the tray size is bigger than the carrier.
The WPC can take up to 10 different component types per level. This restriction does not apply
for machines from station software version 7xx.
Station-wise Download
It is not possible to switch over from dual lane conveyor in asynchronous transport mode to
dual lane conveyor in synchronous transport mode (and vice versa) in combination with station-
wise download.
When the line control server is rebooted, station-wise downloading will be canceled. After
rebooting, you will need to perform a complete line download to restart production.
Station-wise downloading supports setup changes in asynchronous dual operation only when
you have the same definition for both lanes.
Station-wise downloading supports synchronous dual operation as of station software version
704.
ASCII Centroid Import
If component shapes are selected in the ASCII Centroid Import Wizard, all the existing links
between components and component shapes will be overwritten with the imported information.

WPC5 / WPC6
Components up to a height of 30mm can be placed with a force of 70N with the WPC5 as of
serial number 1485 and the WPC6 as of serial number C1486 only.
Components up to a height of 40mm can be placed with the WPC5 as of serial number B3000
and the WPC6 as of serial number C3000.
Due to the refill module, components > 25mm cannot be positioned on the levels 1 3 and
27 28 on the WPC6. The levels 4 28 will be set up automatically by the SIPLACE Pro
Optimizer. The levels 1 3 have to be blocked manually by the operator.
If a pin picker is installed on the X4i S placement machine, the maximum board length is
410mm.
Binning can be disabled in SIPLACE Vision
If binning is disabled in SIPLACE Vision, the measuring in the simulation result of the
optimization will probably take a little longer.
External virtual inkspot handling
Only possible for stations from station software version 707.0 on.
Physical and virtual inkspot must not be mixed.
The board must not contain any active inkspots.
Restrictions in the Production Schedule
PCB barcode mode is not supported.
Spring placement process
The board top edge position has to be constant from board to board to allow absolute placement.
Variable board warpages cannot be compensated.
Measuring and changing the component height measured by the component sensor at the
station
Only for nozzle and component combinations in which the component height is supposed to be
measured with the component sensor.
The component sensor will not perform any measurement if the component height
measurement is omitted due to SIPLACE Pro rules.
Conveyor Carrier X
No travel range check.
No pickup simulation.
The Conveyor Carrier X uses one track on an X-table virtually. If the real table should be
completely occupied, the operator might have to remove a feeder from the table to create place
for the virtual feeder.
No I-Placement mode.
The SIPLACE Pro Optimizer does not consider the time it takes to fill up a tray with
components and change it.
