• Error report – ID 1999.10/EA1V/0016 (122248)
If a PCB is being assembled and the operation is stopped with an EMERGENCY STOP function, and
then subsequently continued, the following error situation occurs:
• The PCB is moved to the output conveyor, where it remains.
• If processing of the PCB is then aborted, all the buttons on the GUI are deactivated.
PCB processing and the control of the GUI buttons was revised.
• Error report – ID 2000.03/EA1F/0016 (122844)
The texts were corrected.

7 Existing Constraints
7.1 Constraints Relating to the Current Version
7.1.1 Installation / Configuration
• Each time Version 407.04 is installed, the file IDEAL.MA is overwritten with a default file. The operator
must cause the programming system to re-send the machine data for the station in order to overwrite the
file (e.g. by re-starting the programming system or switching to standalone mode at the station and then
switching back to the line computer). Errors which occur the first time the station is booted after
installation can be ignored. The programming system must not be active during installation.
• When reconfiguring the machine in the SITEST, only one single option can be selected. In the case of
several options, these have to be reconfigured one after the other.
• When reconfiguring the machine from a 12-nozzle head to a 6-nozzle head, and vice versa, the machine
has to be recalibrated.
• If a 50 Hz camera is replaced by a 60 Hz camera on a machine (or vice versa), the machine must be
restarted twice after the change has been entered in the machine data.
• A SIPLACE F4/6 must be installed as a SIPLACE F
5
during installation and then reconfigured in
SITEST. When updating from an older version, the station must be recalibrated.
• When a SIPLACE F
4
, SIPLACE F
5
or SIPLACE F5HM machine is reinstalled, the IC Ratio camera is
used by default as of Version 407.01. If machine data from an older version is available, it is also
updated to the current status. The camera type must be the same on the programming system and on
the station.
7.1.2 Calibration of C&P Heads / SITEST
• Only nozzle 720 / 920 must be used to calibrate the C&P heads (C&P 12 and C&P 6). This prevents
problems occurring when measuring BGAs.
• The "Processing off" software option must not be activated when calibrating the C&P head.
• Each time SITEST is started, a head reference run must be carried out for the C&P heads (80 S23 and
F5HM) if no overall reference run was carried out in SITEST. This is in order to move the Z axis to the
correct position for star functions.
• No PCB may be in the machine when SITEST is exited.
• The following restriction applies for the "Step star" function with an open emergency stop circuit on a
F5HM machine:
Since there is no longer any 8V star voltage, it is no longer possible to step the star with an open cover
(open emergency stop circuit). The relevant functions in SITEST and in the individual functions are
selectable but have no effect.

7.1.3 Dual Conveyor
• In asynchronous dual conveyor mode, only PCBs with identical format and components to be placed are
permitted on conveyor 1 and 2.
• In synchronous dual conveyor mode, only PCBs of identical width are permitted on conveyor 1 and 2.
• The PCB barcode mode cannot be used on dual conveyor machines.
• Synchronous dual conveyor" operating mode cannot be combined with ink spot recognition.
7.1.4 Whispering down the Line
For the Whispering down the Line functionality it is necessary that the following rules be observed:
- Prior to turning off a station, the station computer has to be shut down via the user interface
- PCBs with unambiguous barcodes must be used
- Whispering down the Line does not function in connection with automatic order release over PCB
barcode mode
- Prior to any job change, the line must first be cleared of PCBs. If this is not done, any PCB remaining in
the machine will be assembled with the wrong job and whispering data.
For this feature it is important that all machines have been mapped optimally! Mapping is therefore
strongly recommended upon the installation as from the version 404.01!
7.1.5 Barcode Mode
• PCB barcode mode is not possible for dual conveyor machines.
• PCBs transferred to the input conveyor and recorded by the barcode reader may not be removed,
otherwise the next PCB will have the incorrect cluster placed in the event of a batch changeover.
7.1.6 Procedures
• After the following error messages, a gantry reference run must be carried out in the Single Functions
(sometimes only successful at the 2nd attempt) before placement can continue:
- #2138 X axis: command currently invalid
- #2139 Y axis: command currently invalid
- #2192/2193 Gantry: limit switch actuated
- #63 X axis: disabled
- #64 Y axis: disabled
- #2344 X axis: Tachometer defective
- #2345 Y axis: Tachometer defective
• In the event of a gantry error during a nozzle change, the display always shows gantry 1.
