3.2.3. Drain Gear
When the drain gear does not work properly, a pickup error may occur since the vinyl tape
of the tape is not peeled. For the SME 8mm/W4P1 tape feeder, unscrew the bolts of the
drain cover and for the SME12~88mm tape feeder, unscrew the bolts of the vinyl box and
remove the vinyl box and remove foreign materials on the drain gear.

3.2.4. Removing foreign materials on the feeder base
Check if there is any foreign material on the reference plane of the feeder base and if
found, remove it.

Check whether abnormal noise occurs while using the tape feeder and whether dust and
foreign materials exist on the tape feeder

3.2.6. Removing foreign materials in the vinyl collection box
If there is any foreign material inside the vinyl box, defective discharge of the vinyl tape
may occur. Unscrew the bolts of the vinyl box and remove the vinyl box from the tape
feeder and then remove foreign materials.
