1.1.3 Replacing nozzle leaf springs
Thenozzleleafspring(hereafterreferredtosimplyas"leafspring")replacementprocedureisgivenbelow.

Remove the nozzle.
Remove (by hand) the nozzle where the leaf
spring is to be replaced.

NOTE
When the machine is equipped with a nozzle station,
return all nozzles to the nozzle station.

Remove the leaf springs.
While pressing the shaft from the rear, use a
precision Phillips screwdriver to remove the
screw, then remove the leaf spring from the
nozzle holder.

Install the new leaf spring.
With the leaf springs kept pushed upward,
tighten the screw with the Phillips precision
screwdriver to assemble the leaf spring.

Always attach the leaf springs so that they become
parallel.

Reattach the nozzle.

Check that the nozzle is held
securely.
1. Insert the nozzle in place and check that
there is no gap between the leaf spring
and the nozzle.
2. Attempt detaching and attaching the
nozzle several times to check that there
is no looseness.

Remove the spring holder.
1. While pressing up the spring holder shown
in the figure at right, turn it to the right.
2. Remove the spring holder and the spring.

Pull out the rotary from the head unit.

Replace the leaf spring.
1. Use a Phillips precision screwdriver to
remove the leaf spring mounting screw
and detach the leaf spring.
2. Insert the nozzle leaf spring mount tool
for HS head (hereafter called the “tool”)
into the shaft and secure a new leaf
spring temporarily.
3. Match the leaf spring to the keyway and
secure it while pushing the tool against
the wall.

NOTE
Push the tool against the wall in a stationary and stable
place.

Check that the nozzle is held
securely.
1. Insert the nozzle in place and check that
there is no gap between the leaf spring
and the nozzle.
2. Attempt detaching and attaching the
nozzle by hand several times to check
that there is no looseness.

A serial number is marked on the main

shaft into place in the order of numbers (1, 2,
