1 Introduction
1.1 Overview
The SC-450 PreciseCoat Jet is a non-contact coating valve providing high-speed delivery and exceptional
volumetric control for various conformal coating fluids. The SC-450 PreciseCoat can jet conformal coating
materials between and next to components up to 15 mm. It dispenses fluid either as discrete dots or a
rapid succession of dots to form a line down to 1.5 mm wide. Please contact Technical Support for the
suitability of the SC-450 PreciseCoat Jet technology for other applications. It is fully compatible with
Select Coat Series Coating Systems.
This manual is intended primarily as a reference for trained process engineers and service technicians.
However, others unfamiliar with Select Coat applicators may also find this manual useful as a general
introduction.
