The following is valid for all feeder module types:
3.3 Track Usage in the Component Table
The following figure shows how many tracks the different X feeder modules are using in the component
table.
Length of the feeder modules: approx. 587 mm
Height of the feeder modules: approx. 200 mm
Max. height of edges protruding over the top edge of the tape pock-

Changeover time for the component tape: < 45 s
Changeover time for the pre-set feeder module on the placement
machine:
< 15 s
NOTICE
Since the feeder modules do not have any raised flaps and are firmly anchored to the compo-
nent table, the risk of a head crash is minimized.

3.4 Tape Material
Tape widths range from 8 mm to 88 mm. The tape material is blister or paper.
Component tapes with a permanently adhesive cover foil (PSA foil) can also be processed. This will
require the "PSA Kit" option. (Not valid for 2x8 mm tape feeder modules.)
* On modules with 16 - 88 mm from version -06 onward the PSA kit is installed as default.
The design of the tape feeder modules was based on the following tape standards:
▪ DIN EN 60286-3 (12/1998) / IEC 60286-3 (12/1997)
▪ JIS C 0806-3 (1999)
▪ ANSI/EIA 481-C (10/2003)
The overall height of the blister tapes depends on the tape width, and must not exceed the following
maximum values:
For 8 mm paper tapes, the paper thickness must not exceed 1.6 mm. The length of a component pocket
in the direction of travel must not exceed 51 mm.
Tape reel diameter
The tape reel diameter may be up to 19" (483 mm) for all feeder modules.
Depending on the PCB transport height the following max. diameters are allowed for the tape reels:
