1.1.6 Use as prescribed
The product must only be used for its intended purposes as described in the catalogs and techni-
cal descriptions, namely the placement of SMD components, and only with the third-party equip-
ment and components recommended or permitted by ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG
(ASM AS). Use for a different or extended purpose is not prescribed.
If the product is not used as prescribed, ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG accepts no
liability for any damage that may occur and does not guarantee that the components will work
properly and without problems.
Use as prescribed also includes compliance with all the instructions in the user manual.
For the product to operate correctly and reliably, it must have been transported, stored, erected
and assembled correctly and must be operated and maintained with care.
1.1.7 Failure to use the product as prescribed

1.1.10 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
SIPLACE placement machines are designed and tested for professional use in industrial applica-
tions. Electromagnetic compatibility in terms of the emission of interference cannot be guaranteed
in any other environment.
1.1.11 Note on the original SIPLACE accessories
Only use ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG original spare parts and authorized ac-
cessories. The use of other parts will affect safety and will invalidate the liability for any con-
sequential damage.

1.2 Line concept
1.2.1 Description of the recommended line concept

The SIPLACE concept is characterized by its flexibility, modularity, compactness and high power
density. It allows a production line to be individually configured from identical and different mod-
ules. If the production requirements change, the individual placement systems are so compact
that they can be recombined quickly and easily.

The SIPLACE family has exactly the right placement system, whatever the output requirements:
SIPLACE D-series machines can be used to place IC, flip-chip, bare die and exotic components
(OSC). They cover the spectrum of components from 01005 to 85 x 85 / 125 x 10 mm² with a very
high placement rate.
