Types of measurements
Head verification includes a number of measurement steps which can be executed individually or
as a whole sequence. These measurement steps vary depending on the head to be verified. The
following checks are performed on the sub-units of the placement heads:
State of the vacuum system and corresponding
Ease of movement of DP and Z-axis bearings
Wear on bearings / tolerances
Component sensor check
Z-axis light barrier check
Positioning accuracy of DP drives
Nozzle seat check
Vacuum system verification
Placement force verification
At the end of the verification process, all results are summarized in a test report which can also be
saved to a PDF file. These results provide feedback about the technical state of the head, enabling
a technician to decide which measures are to be taken, for example:
Performing additional maintenance
Replacement of wear/spare parts
Replacement of the head
