1.3.1. Inspection Process Requirements

1.4. MX-3600 / System States
The following states are possible as result of an inspection process:
Pass
No defects found, or defects left after full inspection run.
Fail
There are pending defects found by an inspection system..
Fail Overflow
The inspection system can set this state for a module with to many defects (in
this case are the individual defects not stored!).
Fiducial-Fail
This state can only be set by an inspection system, if the fiducial test had
been failed. There are no individual defect records and the board does
typically need to be re-inspected until this error does not occur anymore
Board-Check Fail
A special multi panel case if a panel board check fails the inspection will
stop and jump to the next panel and start with inspection process again. If the
last panel fails the inspection is finished the board will send out!

2. System Specification / Hardware
2.1. MX-3600 / Basic X-RAY System Cabinet
2.1.1. X Ray System Cabinet / Overview
The lead shielded cabinet includes a safety lock system, which is
independently controlling all possible opening points of the system. An extra
lead shielded X-Ray box in the top part of the cabinet is housing the x-ray tube
assembly with the z-axis motor drive.
On the transportation level (main) part of the cabinet the x-y table is mounted
with adjusted connection areas left and right for the In and Output conveyor.
The bottom part of the cabinet is equipped with a fully redesigned and new
rear tray assembly in the back and with the detector assembly and the control-
computer setup in the front section.
The external in and out conveyor assemblies are mounted on the left and right
cabinet wall using a small gap-window (3 inch) on both sides for the sample
load and unload procedures.
As the left and right conveyors have more then 800mm length no extra x-ray
safety shutter-system is required.
The system is upgraded according the EU-2004 X-RAY safety regulations and
is meeting the the current German an EU standards.
The CXI-MX-3600 system meets also the CDRF US-Standard for X-RAY
equipment.
