(2) When the [F1] (YES) key is pressed, the window (Fig. 19) appears
on the screen.
When this key is pressed, the bar code reader must be set on
the communication adapter.

(3) When the [ENT] key is pressed, the result of the feeder checking is
sent to the machine. (Fig. 20) After that, the “** MAIN MENU **”
window (Fig. 4) resumes.
When no response is received from the machine, the session
is terminated forcibly in about 10 seconds.

(4) When the bar code reader is not set on the communication adapter
in Step (2), the window (Fig. 21) appears on the screen.
Set the bar code reader on the communication adapter and press
the [ENT] key.

7.3.5 Displaying the component to be checked subsequently
When the [F1] (NEXT) key is pressed at the “** CUR. CHECK **” win-
dow (Fig. 6 or 10), the feeder No. and the component name (ID) appear
as those for the feeder to be checked subsequently. Even if the compo-
nent name (ID) displayed through this operation is already checked once,
it appears regardless of the result of the checking. Once the component
name (ID) is checked, the result is kept valid.
7.3.6 Displaying the previously checked component
When the [F2] (BACK) key is pressed at the “** CUR. CHECK **” win-
dow (Fig. 6 or 10), the feeder No. and the component name (ID) appear
as those for the previously checked feeder.
Even if the component name (ID) displayed through this operation is
already checked once, it appears regardless of the result of the check-
ing. Once the component name (ID) is checked, the result is kept valid.
7.3.7 Checking the name (ID) of the components that caused a
shortage error
When a component shortage error has occurred on the machine side
during feeder check operation, the operation is interrupted and the com-
ponent shortage check operation is performed instead.
However, when the component check operation is not performed and a
component shortage error occurs, the window (Fig. 22) appears auto-
matically on the screen.
(1) When the bar code reader is set on the communication adapter and
the [F3] (EMPT) key is pressed, the window (Fig. 22) appears on
the screen.

7.3 Checking the Components for the Current and Next Programs

[Displayed Contents]
NEXT : Displayed is the name (ID) of the component to be checked
subsequently.
BACK : Displayed is the name (ID) of the component before the
checked one.
EXIT : This allows you to exit from the current session (checking
the name (ID) of the component that caused a component
shortage error).
(2) Replace the shortage-error-caused feeder with a new one.
(3) Read the bar code of the new feeder.
(4) A peep sounds when the bar code is read successfully and “<OK>”
appears on the bottom right of “COMP ID”. (Fig. 23)
Fig. 23
(5) When a component shortage error has occurred in several lanes
(slot Nos.), the following “** COMP EMPTY **” window appears on
the screen, showing the information on the component shortage
error. The component name (ID) can also be checked.
(6) When the compared data does not coincide with the specified one,
a warning peep sounds twice and “<NG>” appears on the bottom
right of “READ ID” and “<MISMATCH>” on the bottom left of the
window. (Fig. 24)
