*4 Check Data
[Comp ID] Button : Feeder Checker is checked using the com-
ponent ID data of the placement feeder loca-
tion data.
[Comment] Button : Feeder Checker is checked using the com-
ment data of the placement feeder location
data.
*5 Next Prgm Set-up
Pattern program data scheduled to be used for the next program is
displayed.
When the [Next Prgm Set-up] key (*7) is pressed in the tab sheet
(Fig. 1), the window (Fig. 2) appears on the screen.
*6 Feeder Check Result
The feeder check situation of current pattern program, shortage of
component, next pattern program are displayed.
“Current Program” “Next Program”
Not Complete : The state in which the feeder check has not com-
pleted.
Complete : The state in which the feeder check has com-
pleted. Automatic operation can be started.
“Shortage”
OFF : Feeder which needs the feeder check due to the shortage
of component does not exist.
ON : Feeder which needs the feeder check due to the shortage
of component exists.
(a) Parameters can be changed when the machine is in the
“STOP” or the “PAUSE” mode.
(b) The feeder checker set-up function is added to the pass-
word available areas as an item to be set.
(c) When the current program is changed to the next one,
“- - - -” appears in the “Next Program” text box.
(d) When the “Next Prgm Set-up” window is active and the
pattern program data delete command is issued from the
external device, the program names disappear from the
“Next Prgm Set-up” window.
(e) When the pattern program data is set as the current pro-
gram is deleted, “- - - -” appears in the “Current Program”
text box.

3.2 “Next Prgm Set-up” Window
When the [Next Prgm Set-up] button (*7) is pressed in the “Opn.Mode”
tab sheet (Fig. 1), the window (Fig. 2) appears on the screen.
This window makes it possible to set the pattern program data sched-
uled to be used for the next program.
By setting the pattern program data for the next program, the tape feed-
ers for the next program can be checked in advance while the machine
is running according to the current program.

To select the next program, move the line cursor to the program name
to be set as the next program and press the [Next Prgm Set-up] button.
The selected No. and program are set.
The same program name as the current one can be set as the
next program.

4. Feeder Check Operation
4.1 Prerequisite
Confirm that the following conditions are met before the bar code feeder
check function is used.
The bar code reader must be turned ON.
“Enable” must be set in the “Feeder Checker Set-up” group box.

4.2 Feeder Check Procedure
4.2.1 Checking the current program
Operation Procedure
(1) Set the current program.
(2) Read the data required for feeder check operation, using the bar
code reader.
Refer to “7. Handling of Bar Code Reader”.
(3) Check the bar code on the feeder where the required components
are mounted and set the feeder on the feeder carriage.
(4) After the bar code checking is completed, send the checked data
from the bar code reader to the machine.
Refer to “7. Handling of Bar Code Reader”.
(5) After the components have been checked and the feeders are in-
stalled correctly, the machine can be operated automatically.
When “Enable” is set in the “Feeder Checker Set-up” group
box, the machine cannot be started unless the feeder check
operation is completed.
4.2.2 Checking the pattern program data pre-set as one for the
next program
Operation Procedure
(1) Select the program name to be pre-set as one for the next program
in the “NEXT PROGRAM SET-UP” window on the machine side.
(2) Read the data required to check the feeder for the next program,
using the bar code reader.
