To check the feeder No., the printed bar code label (feeder
No.) is required.
When the [F1] (ON) or the [F3] (OFF) key is pressed, the window
(Fig. 37) appears on the screen, enabling you to determine whether or
not the actual objects should be collated.

When the [F1] (ON) key is pressed, it is determined that the actual ob-
jects should be collated.
When the [F3] (OFF) key is pressed, it is determined that the actual
objects should not be collated.
The actual object collation function is valid only when the feeder
is empty of components.
When the [F1] (ON) or the [F3] (OFF) key is pressed, the “** MAIN MENU
**” window (Fig. 4) resumes.

When “4. BC DATA” is selected at the “** MAIN MENU **” window
(Fig. 4), the following window appears on the screen.

BC LEN : Set the length of the bar code to be read.
(Max.: 99 characters and Default: 99)
START : Set the starting position of the bar code to be read as a
first effective character.
(Starting Position as First Effective Character: 1 through
99 and Default: 1)
EF LEN : Set the number of effective characters.
(Max.: 32 characters and Default: 16)
9.1 Operation
(1) Enter each number of characters.
(2) When “START (Starting Position)” - 1 + “EF LEN (Effective Length)”
exceeds “BC LEN (Bar Code Length)”, “1” is set forcibly as
“START”and “BC LEN” - “START” + “1” as “EF LEN”.
(3) A warning peep sounds twice when the number of effective charac-
ters is forcibly specified.
(4) When no parameter is entered and the [ENT] key is pressed, the
defaults are set for each item.
(5) After parameters are set for each item, the “** MAIN MENU **” win-
dow (Fig. 4) resumes.
When the code type is “CODE39”, “*” is attached before and
after the code.
As they are deleted automatically when the bar code is read,
ignore them and set each number of characters. However, “*”
is included in the length of the bar code to be read.

10. Masking the Component Name (ID) to be Checked
When “5. MASK” is selected at the “** MAIN MENU **” window (Fig. 4),
the following window appears on the screen.

1. FUNCTION : Select this to determine whether or not the first
character (or a string of characters) of the com-
ponent name (ID) should be masked.
2. MASK CHAR : Select this to set the first character to be masked.
3. EIAJ FUNC : Select this to determine whether or not “3N*”
should be masked.
10.1 Operation
(1) When the [F1] (M1) key is pressed, “ON” is set for “1. FUNCTION”.
When the key is pressed once again, “OFF” is set. Every time the
key is pressed, “ON” is changed to “OFF” or vice versa.
(2) When the [F2] (M3) key is pressed, “ON” is set for “3. EIAJ FUNC”.
When the key is pressed once again, “OFF” is set. Every time the
key is pressed, “ON” is changed to “OFF” or vice versa.
(3) When the [F3] (BACK) key is pressed, the character for “2. MASK
CHAR” changes in the ascending (from “Z” to “A”) order.
(4) When the [F4] (FORE) key is pressed, the character for “2. MASK
CHAR” changes in the descending (from “A” to “Z”) order.
(5) When the [ENT] key is pressed, the “** MAIN MENU **” window
(Fig. 4) resumes.
(a) When “OFF” is set for “1. FUNCTION”, the masking func-
tion is not executed.
When “ON” is set, the first character is checked prior to
the others.
