NEXT : Displayed is the name (ID) of the component to be checked
subsequently.
BACK : Displayed is the name (ID) of the component before the
checked one.
EXIT : This allows you to exit from the current session (checking
the name (ID) of the component that caused a component
shortage error).
(2) Replace the shortage-error-caused feeder with a new one.
(3) Read the bar code of the new feeder.
(4) A peep sounds when the bar code is read successfully and “<OK>”
appears on the bottom right of “COMP ID”. (Fig. 23)

(5) When a component shortage error has occurred in several lanes
(slot Nos.), the following “** COMP EMPTY **” window appears on
the screen, showing the information on the component shortage
error. The component name (ID) can also be checked.
(6) When the compared data does not coincide with the specified one,
a warning peep sounds twice and “<NG>” appears on the bottom
right of “READ ID” and “<MISMATCH>” on the bottom left of the

(7) After all feeders are checked on whether or not a component short-
age error is caused, the original window resumes.
(8) When the reader fails in reading the bar code, “<?>” appears on the
bottom right of “COMP ID”. (Fig. 25)

(9) When the bar code is scanned again but cannot be read success-
fully by all means, press the [ENT] key. The system is shifted to the
“7.3.9 Entering the name (ID) of the component manually that caused
a component shortage error” session.
7.3.8 Checking the feeder No. that caused a component short-
age error
After the component name (ID) is checked, the “** COMP EMPTY **”
window (Fig. 26) appears on the screen, enabling the checking of the
feeder No.
(a) This window appears when “ON” is set for “FDR CHECK
?” at the “** DATA OPERATION **” window which appears
after “3. OPERATE” is selected at the “** MAIN MENU **”
window.
(b) To perform this operation, the printed bar code label (feeder
No.) is required.

When “>” appears at the right side of “FDR NO”, it indicates that the
feeder No. is being checked.
(1) Apply the bar code reader to the bar code label pasted on the feeder
that caused a component shortage error and press the [READ]
switch.
(2) A peep sounds when the bar code is read successfully.
(3) When the reader fails in reading the bar code, “<?>” appears on the
bottom right of “READ ID”. (Fig. 27)

(4) When the reader fails in reading the bar code by all means, press
the [ENT] key.
The window (Fig. 30) appears on the screen, enabling you to enter
the feeder No. manually.
(5) When the bar code is read successfully, the read feeder No. is com-
pared with the specified one.
