1.2 System Requirements
1.2.1 SIPLACE Explorer Server
1.2.1.1 Hardware
– Intel Pentium III or Pentium IV processor
– 512 Mbytes RAM
– 1 GB available hard-disk space

– System environment - one of the following versions:
– Windows 2000 server with SP4
– Windows 2000 Professional with SP4

– JAVATM 2 SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT (J2SDK), STANDARD EDITION, VERSION 1.4.

1.2.3 Additional Remarks
SIPLACE Explorer Version 2.0 has the following restrictions: 1
– A SIPLACE Explorer host (the computer on which SIPLACE Explorer "Runtime Environment"
is installed) can monitor five SIPLACE lines with up to 20 stations.
– For performance reasons, we recommend that you do not generate reports for all topics and
pages or report types at once. Try to run the report generation at a time when there is no pro-
duction operation e.g. at the weekend.
– SIS must be installed on the OIS server.
– From SIPLACE Explorer Version 2.0, the station GEM interface will no longer be supported i.e.
data can not be recorded via the GEM interface with SIPLACE Explorer Version 2.0.
– The clocks on the connected machines and those belonging to SIPLACE Explorer must be
synchronized. TimeSync must be installed for SIPLACE machines (Art. No. 00370600-02).
