1.3.3.5 Dispatching ESD modules
Always store modules and components in conductive packaging (e.g. metallized plastic bags
or metal sleeves) and dispatch them in conductive packaging
If the packaging is not conductive, place the modules in a conductive envelope before pack-
aging. Use conductive expanded rubber, ESD bags, domestic aluminum foil or paper, for
example. NEVER use plastic bags or film.
If the module has integral batteries, ensure that the conductive packaging does not touch or
short circuit the battery terminals and, if necessary, first cover the terminals with insulating
tape or material.

2 Brief Description
This manual describes the conversion tasks required for installation of an MTC2 at location 2 of X2
S / X3 S / X4 S machines.
2.1 Product Description
The MTC2 consists of two independently working towers, which allow you to configure and fully
automatically change up to 100 JEDEC waffle pack trays.
To use an MTC at location 2 of the X2 S / X3 S / X4 S, you need to install an MTC slide-in frame-
work [03009963‑xx].

Tower 2 can accommodate a maximum of
40 waffle pack tray carriers with 40 JEDEC
waffle pack trays.
2.2 Requirements
For X4 S machines, configurations with an MTC at location 2 are generally possible in conjunction
with a Twin. Corresponding configurations with a CPP are available as a special configuration.
For machine types X3 S and X2 S, configurations with an MTC at location 2 are generally possible
in conjunction with a Twin or a CPP head.
In addition to the MTC2, a service flap and an output extension or conveyor are fitted as a default.
Observe the following instructions for these:
