Maintenance Tasks for Pressure Control Valve
Performing Maintenance Tasks 6.3.1 Checking/Cleaning the Pressure Control Valve

Plastic sleeves
► Carefully swing the board up and remove the white
plastic spacer (1).
Dismantle the short board
► Loosen the three screws (1) fastening the short
board (2).
CAUTION!
Make sure that you do not loosen the screw in the center
of the board!
Lift the short board
► Apply gentle pressure to push a slotted screwdriver
into the recess (3).
CAUTION!
Between the board (1) and the body of the valve (2), you
will find a plastic sheet (4).
Make sure that the plastic sheet is located under the
screwdriver.
► Lever the board out of the valve body.
If needed, you can use a screwdriver positioned on
the side of the board to help you.

Dismantle the board
► Pull the board (2) off the body of the valve (1).
O-ring
► Remove the O-ring from the hole (2) for the sensor.
Take care: this O-ring could be caught on the sensor
itself (1).
► Clean the hole and the O-ring.
Remove the plunger
► Position a size 8 wrench socket (3) onto the plunger
nut (2).
⇨ The plunger magnets attach the plunger to the Al-
len key.
► Pull the plunger out of the valve housing (1).

Check the plunger
► Check the plunger for signs of scraping on the front
guideway (1).
► Check the plunger for signs of scraping on the back
guideway (2).
► If there are signs of scraping, you will need to replace
the complete pressure control valve.
In this case, further maintenance tasks do not need to
be performed on the pressure control valve.
Rust on the pressure control valve
► Check the inside of the pressure control valve.
► If the inside of the pressure control valve is damaged,
you will need to replace the complete pressure con-
trol valve.
In this case, further maintenance tasks do not need to
be performed on the pressure control valve.
Clean the basic body of the valve
► Clean the seat of the plunger tip and the Venturi noz-
zle with a cleaning stick dipped in ethanol.
