3.3 Push mode
In push mode, the data preparation engineer selects the data they wish to make available to the lines they
are responsible for. Under a graphical user interface, they use an application template (Section 5.4.1) to
select one or more line and the objects (e.g. optimized recipes) that they want to transfer to the selected
line(s). Depending on the settings in the configuration, the line engineer is forced to accept these changes
immediately or later, or can reject them, or is simply informed of the receipt of changed data. With the EDM
Data Transfer Manager, the data preparation engineer always has an overview of the status of the
individual transfer packages on the EDM lines.
In contrast to the two pull mode variants, sovereignty over the status of the data in push mode lies largely
with the data preparation engineer.
Push mode and pull mode should be used independently. EDM can be operated in mixed mode without
problems.

you must install SIPLACE Pro Desk on your local system. The local SIPLACE Pro Desk
installation must also have access to the remote EDM Master.
Push mode will also not work properly if this local installation does not access the SIPLACE
Pro server of the configured EDM Master.
4.2 Folder structure
In the following, we will discuss the folder structure created by the default installation.
