Objective PM1: Carry out DEK recommended monthly maintenance program
Preventive maintenance is designed to maintain the DEK machine in good working order
for as long as possible. Included are various checks and tasks that keep the machine clean
and lubricated. The most important part of the preventive maintenance is the cleaning, as
print materials can cause serious degradation of machine performance.
Using the technical reference manual as a guide, carry out the monthly PM routines.
NOTES:
62 Issue 6, Nov 14
Visually inspect the glass cover (printhead cover) for signs of damage using the
TB390.
NOTE:
The glass windows are manufactured by an approved automotive supplier whose products
meet the R43 homologation standards.
All the necessary test methods have been used to ensure the glass meets the required
safety requirements and is fit for purpose before machine shipment, and in normal
operating conditions.
Technical Bulletin 390 details the regular checks that are referred to in the Annual
Service Program and the Preventive Maintenance section of the Technical Reference
Manual to ensure the glass remains intact and fit for continued operation
This information is also available for customers in Knowledge Base Article 1477 to allow
them to inspect for damage and raise with their local Service Control Centre if required.
