5.2.3.11 Incoming requests
Key: incomingRequests
Type: Endpoint
Valid for: Master server
Description: Endpoint at which the Master Server listens in for incoming service requests.
Determines the value for outgoing requests on the Line Servers.
The value must be different from the value for incoming change notifications.
5.2.3.12 Incoming change notifications
Key: incomingNotifications
Type: Endpoint
Valid for: Master server
Description: Endpoint at which the Master Server listens in for incoming change notifications.
Determines the value for outgoing change notifications on the Line Servers.
The value must be different from the value for incoming requests.
5.2.3.13 Incoming Clearing Pool requests
Key: incomingClearingPoolRequests
Type: Endpoint
Valid for: Master server
Clearing pool
Description: Endpoint at which the Clearing Pool listens for incoming commands from the
master service.
5.2.3.14 EDM tool endpoint
Key: edmToolEndPoint
Type: Endpoint
Default: EDM_SPI_REMOTE_HOST:9002/EdmTool
Valid for: Master server
Line server
EDM Tool
Description: Endpoint for entering change notifications. The default value means that the
comment dialog boxes always open on the computer at which the SPI event was
triggered that caused the notification which requires a comment (if an EDM tool is
installed there).
If the line engineer is to enter the comments at a different computer, replace
EDM_SPI_REMOTE_HOST in the configuration file of the Line Server with the host
name of this computer.

5.2.3.15 Endpoint configuration
Key: endpointConfig
Type: Section
Valid for: Master server
Description: This section contains pairs of values of the form:
<add key="[hostname]" value="[Endpoint]"/>
There is one pair of such values for each Line Server. This list describes the
connections from the Master Server to the Line Servers to be used.
The network ID (not the alias) of the computer concerned must be entered under
hostname. You can also enter "*" or "all" as the value for hostname. This is
then used as the default value when no entry can be found for a specific Line
Server.
Important: All Line Servers should always be listed in every configuration file. In
particular, the name of the local computer must be included (or at least an entry for
"*").
5.2.3.16 Communication timeout
Key: communicationTimeout
Type: Time
Default: P0Y0M0DT0H1M0S (= 1 minute)
Valid for: Line server
Master server
Clearing pool
Description: Time period in which a message must be received from a particular communication
partner. The setting should generally not be changed. The other options are as
follows (from left to right):
Y = years
M = months
D = days
H = hours
M = minutes
S = seconds
5.2.3.17 Use advanced EDM notification filtering
Key: useAdvancedNotificationFiltering
Type: String (true/false)
Default: true
Valid for: Master server
Description: Activation/deactivation of direct import/rejection of notifications by the Master
Server.
If these filters are deactivated, all notifications are entered in the Clearing Pool. If
they are activated, changes to objects can be accepted/rejected without first being
displayed in the Clearing Pool (for configuration, see section 5.4.3 Direct import of
changed objects to the master database and section 5.4.4 Automatic rejection of
the changes).

5.2.3.18 Modified object protection
Key: useModifiedObjectProtection
Type: String (true/false)
Default: true
Valid for: Line server
Description: Activation/deactivation of the overwriting of modified objects in the Line Server.
If this object is activated, objects which are currently in the Clearing Pool are not
overwritten with the (older) data from the Master Server during a pull operation.
5.2.3.19 Response timeout
Key: responseTimeout
Type: Time
Default: P0Y0M0DT0H5M0S (= 5 minutes)
Valid for: Line server
Description: Time period in which the Line Server considers a reply to a service request from
the Master Server to be valid. Timing problems can arise here due to the
interaction between SIPLACE Pro and XML Import/Export that may require a
change to be made. However, the timeout should not be set to a value too high
since this can cause the users to become very irritated.
The other options are as follows (from left to right):
Y = years
M = months
D = days
H = hours
M = minutes
S = seconds
5.2.3.20 Compression type and level
Key: compressionType
Type: Enum
Values: None
Zip
Bzip
Default: Zip
Valid for: Line server
Master server
Clearing pool
Description: Compression mode for the data transfer. The setting must be identical throughout
the entire system.
The default setting represents a good compromise between the compression ratio
and processing time. If extremely large amounts of data are transferred by the
customer, it may be necessary to set the compression to Bzip. This method offers
a much higher compression ratio than Zip, but at the cost of longer processing
times. Compression should only be switched off when the amount of data is always
very small (< 4MB).
