3 Important points to note when carry-
ing out maintenance work
The maintenance intervals given for inspecting and replacing the filter elements only apply to the
specified compressed air quality (compressed air specification). If other qualities are used, the
maintenance intervals should be shortened accordingly. 3
CAUTION
NEVER use compressed air to clean inside the placement machine’s modules. 3
Enter the completed maintenance work in the maintenance schedule. We recommend that you
carry out the jobs in the order given in the maintenance schedule. 3

4 Maintenance schedule
Our maintenance intervals are based on the following machine utilization: 4
eight hours per shift, three shifts per day, five days per week, four weeks per month. 4
The intervals must be matched to the shift models, and the environmental and production condi-
tions. Environmental factors can result in cutting sh
ort
or extending the intervals (clean room, mill-
ing residues on the PCBs, paper dust from the t
ape material, etc.). 4
The "daily maintenance" or "maintenance after every shif
t" are cleaning jobs and are thus part of
the machine operation. They must be carried out as required,
e.g. the waste container will have to be emptied se
veral times a day, depending on the amount of
waste generated.
