You will need a waste bin, a collecting container and a vacuum cleaner with appropriate nozzle for
the daily cleaning jobs. 5

Carry out the cleaning jobs in the order shown in the graphic to minimize down times. 5

: Press the Stop button at the first station if the gantry is over the placement position.
This will stop it outside your working area.

: Open the protective cover.

Empty the reject bin 5
a Remove the reject bin and empty it into the collecting container.
5
We recommend that you empty the reject bin every day, since this will show whether a certain
component is being rejected frequently. Determine the cause of the error using the Track Error
menu or OIS. 5

s Clean around the reject bin with the vacuum cleaner and replace the bin.
5
The inside of the placement machine should be free of loose components since these can cause
faults if they get caught between moving parts. 5

Vacuum the nozzle changer 5
Keep the vacuum cleaner nozzle at least 1 cm away from the nozzles to prevent any damage. 5

5
d Vacuum the nozzle changers for the Collect&Place and the Pick&Place head.

The nozzle changers should be free of dirt and loose components since these could prevent noz-
zles being picked up and set down correctly. 5

Vacuum the feeder modules 5

Keep at least 1 cm away from the feeder module to avoid damaging the component covers. 5

a Carefully clean the feeder area with a vacuum cleaner.
There should be no loose components in the feeder area.

: Close the protective cover.
: Press the Start button.

The placement machine can continue placement during the next steps. 5

Empty waste tape container 5
s Pull the waste tape co
ntainer out of the component trolley.
d Empty it into the waste bin.

When you pull out the waste container, hold it flat so that none of the waste tape drops out. 5

Empty the waste container as it fills up with waste. 5

: Repeat the "daily maintenance jobs" at every feeder area.
