5. STANDARD FUNCTIONS AND OPTIONS
5.1 Standard functions
5.1.1 Bad mark recognition
Recognition can be performed by OCC.
A bad mark is given to a circuit on a multi-circuit PWB to prevent any component from
being placed on the circuit.
The size of the mark should be φ2.5 mm or more and clear contrast with the PWB color
is required.
If there is a difference in reflected light quantity between the PWB color and the mark
color, the brightness/darkness for the PWB color must be switched.

5.1.2 Liquid crystal touch panel
This is an input device to operate the device by touching the screen. This device can be
operated intuitively to improve the operability.
5.2 Options
5.2.1 Feeder floating detecting sensor (Option for the factory setting)
This sensor is used to avoid mechanical trouble that may be caused when the tape feeder,
stick feeder, or bulk feeder cannot be mounted correctly.
When the sensor detects a floating status, the XY axis movement is stopped and a warning is
given to the operator
. (JX-100: Option for both front and rear, JX-100 LED: Standard for
front but Option for rear.)

5.2.2 Vacuum pump (Option for the factory setting)
This pump can suppress the air consumption of the compressor, so that the air supply stability
at component pickup can be improved.
5.2.3 Height measuring function (HMS, option for the factory setting)
When pickup data is prepared, the height of the component pickup position is automatically
measured by laser sensor.
Components with a transparent pickup surface such as glass (LED, etc.), components with a
mirror-like surface that reflects almost all of light, and components of blue color are excluded
from applicable components. This can also be used as a teaching spot. (JX-100: Option,
JX-100 LED: Standard.)
5.2.4 Leakage breaker (Option for the factory setting)
When a current flows (leaks) others than the intended electric circuit because the insulator
(coating) of cable or electric wire is broken or an electric connection is made between
conductors by external factor, this breaker can cut off the current automatically.
5.2.5 Rear bank (Option for the factory setting)
This is a fixed bank type. This is required to use a tape feeder (except ATF) and a tray holder.
5.2.6 Main line filter (Option)
This filter is provided ahead of 3 air sets, and removes oil, water, foreign substances in
compressed air to extend the element life of the precision filter and prevent device trouble.
5.2.7 HOD (Option)
This device is a hand held type that permits checking mark recognition images and performing
various teaching operations at places other than the operating panel while holding it by hand.
When the HOD is used for teaching operations and adjustment, the sphere of action can be
extended.
5.2.8 EPU (Option)
This is an abbreviation for External Programming Unit and permits programming on the PC.
* The EPU for JX-100 is not allowed to be used on the same PC with any other EPU for
different type of machine, or with the HLC.
5.2.9 Air compressor Assembly (Option )
This unit consists of a vacuum pump, air compressor (see Note 1), and power supply unit for
air compressor as a set.
Note 1: This unit cannot be exported to the USA, China, and Singapore by the each
safety standard. The air compressor must be procured locally. In the case of
local procurement, the recommended compressor specifications are as follows.

5.2.10 A simple Buffer (Option only for JX-100)
Attaches a stopper onto the conveyor entrance to make the simplified IN-buffer. It makes
the waiting time to load the next PWB shorter.
5.2.11 Lighting unit of solder recognition (Option for the factory setting only
for JX-100 LED)
A solder printed on a board can be used as a PWB reference mark.
Even if the PWB reference mark cannot be recognized around the edge of PWB due to
the feeds that are done by split clamping in a production of longer-sized PWB in X axis,
more than 410 mm in X direction, the solder printed on a board can be used as the
replacement of a PWB reference mark, and it enables a PWB production in placement.
*Satisfactory placement accuracy might not be obtained in the solder print because
shape as the mark is not clear.
