1 General Functions
1.1 Head Reference Run
Prior to starting to work with the test program it is required that the axes approach their reference positions.
On SIPLACE 80S machines, the reference run must be performed for both gantries. To this end, the respec-
tive gantry must first be activated using the "Select gantry" option on the main menu (see section 0.4.2).
NOTE
Prior to performing the gantry reference run, the head reference run of the revolver head must first be
carried out. On SIPLACE 80F machine types, the head reference run must be performed for the IC-head as well.

From the main menu select the Head reference run option and press the RETURN key.
The "Head reference run" menu is displayed on the screen.
Overview of the Functions:

RV-Head ref. run Reference run of the revolver head

Close nozzles Close nozzles

IC-head refer. run Reference run of the IC-head

Select the RV-Head ref. run or IC-head refer. run function and press the RETURN key and the START
button. The selected head of the active gantry performs a reference run.

If you only wish to close the nozzles and move the segments to the 0-degree position, select the Close
nozzles function and press the RETURN key and the START button.
All nozzles on the head of the active gantry are then closed and moved to the 0-degree position.
NOTE
The "Close nozzles" function can only be performed with the vacuum supply turned on.

Press the ESC key, to return to the SITEST main menu.

1.2 Gantry Reference Run
Following the head reference run, the gantry reference run is to be performed. To this end, proceed as fol-
lows:

From the main menu select the Gantry refer. run function and press the RETURN key and the START
button. The gantry axes of the active gantry will perform the reference run.
1.3 Saving MA-Data

From the main menu select the File Manager option and press the RETURN key. The "File Manager"
menu is displayed on the screen.
Overview of the Functions:

File commands to access the user interface for the manipulation of files
-
Store MA-file to save newly determined values to the "REAL.MA" file.

If you wish to view the contents of the hard disk or a floppy disk, or if you wish to carry out file handling
actions such as copying, renaming, deleting, etc., select the File commands menu option and press the
RETURN key.The "File commands" user interface is opened.
The selection of a directory or a file can be accomplished by using the TAB, RETURN and cursor keys.
The actions (e.g. Copy) displayed on the menu bar can be activated by entering the letter that is shown in
reverse video (e.g. C for Copy).
The source and target paths can be set by entering the number displayed in reverse video.

Press the ESC key to return to the "File manager" menu.

If you wish to save newly determined calibration data (MA-Data) or a modified machine configuration,
select the Store Ma-file function and press the RETURN key. The data are saved to the "REAL.MA" file.
NOTE
Only
the values for "Zero point cor. value", "Minimal position" and "Maximal position" that were modified in
the "Positions" input menu can be saved with the aid of the main menu option File Manager --> Store
MA-file. All other modified axis data cannot
be saved. They will be reset to the original values upon exiting
from the SITEST program

NOTE
By means of the function "Store MA-file"
only
the newly determined values of the
zero point correction
and
the
minimum position
and
maximum position
of the traversing range of the x and y-axes can be saved to
the current MA-file "REAL.MA" in the case of a change to the axis machine data. All other axis machine data
that may have been changed will
not
be saved even if the "Store MA-file" function is activated.
As the newly determined values are saved to the "REAL.MA" file, the original values are automatically saved
to the "REAL.ALT" file. If the "REAL.ALT" file does not exist yet, it will be automatically created.

Press the ESC key, to return to the SITEST main menu.
1.4 Head
The "Head" menu contains various options for testing the head functions.
●
To test the head functions, select the
Head
option from the main menu and press the RETURN key.
The "Head" menu is displayed on the screen.
Overview of the Functions:

Step star axis to cycle the revolver head by one segment

Remove segment pressing the START button causes the revolver head to advance by one segment
-
Actuate dp1 to turn the segment by 90°
The motor of the dp1 drive is activated, all Beros are checked.

Actuate dp2 to turn the segment by 90°
The motor of the dp2 drive is activated, all Beros are checked.

Centering no measur. to activate the centering station without any measuring operation taking place
-
Center measurement to activate the centering station with measuring operation taking place
-
Pick up cal. tool to pick up the calibration piece which is in pick-up position under the nozzle
-
Return cal. tool to deposit the calibration piece which is attached to the nozzle

Select the desired function and press the RETURN key.
The selected function is now executed.
