12.6.2 Preparing and terminating pneumatic hoses (S-27HM)
O Configure the pneumatic hoses as shown in the following figure.

Note for single conveyor
With a single conveyor only one PUN 3 hose is required. The unneeded connection is closed
with a blind plug.

12.7 Safety instructions
CAUTION
The safety instructions in the Operating Safety section of the User Manual and Service Manual
have priority. 12
The SIPLACE placement machines are powered by mains voltage.
Parts of the system therefore conduct dangerous electricity inside the machine even while the
main switch is turned off.
Inappropriate handling of the machines or touching live parts in the machine can cause death or
serious injury and can also result in considerable damage to property.
Before all work, carry out a proper shut-down of the operating system then turn off the machine
at the main switch and isolate it from the mains. In addition, the compressed air supply must be
turned off at the main valve of the compressed air unit in the machine base and the compressed
air lines must be bled by actuating the needle valve on the compressed air unit.
Danger: For anyone wearing a heart pacemaker it is not permitted to work near linear motors, as
described in detail in the User Manual and the Service Manual, Chapter "Special Safety Instruc-
tions when working in vicinity of powerful magnetic fields" .
Obey the applicable accident prevention regulations, DIN standards and special safety codes of
your country at all times.
Observe the information on residual voltage in the Section "Operating Safety".
Observe the ESD regulations as described in the User Manual, Section "Operating Safety".
During retrofitting secure the machine carefully against use by other persons and against unau-
thorized power-up, as described in the User Manual in the Section "Locking the machine....".
There is additional, higher risk of accident when working with the SITEST program. The SITEST
program may only be started by persons trained and authorized to do so.
