6.1 Row and Column Definition
VIH checks the board structure by analyzing the origins of each panel. Panels with the same x
offset belong to the same column; panels of the same y offset belong to the same row:
Figure 6-3: Row and column definition
VIH considers panels to be in the same row/column if their ink spots have the same x or y
coordinate. Same means that the value is inside a range of 2 mm:

6.1.1 Restrictions
The following restrictions apply for the descriptions in the inkspot file:
– Only a panel matrix with rotations of 0° is supported.
– Gaps between the panels are allowed but have to be regular.
Examples
The following descriptions are allowed:

6.2 XML Format
The file name consists of the barcode name of the individual board and the file suffix (xml or txt),
e.g. 12345.xml. The file is an xml file with UTF-8 encoding. This format (also known as "iSkip") can
be read by the station directly.
Example
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Explanation
PCB_DATA
PCB_DATA_CHECKSUM
not used, use 0
NO_SINGLE_CIRCUITS

PCB_DESCRIPTION
NO_ROWS_"2"
number of panel rows [1..n]
NO_COLUMNS_"2"
number of panel columns [1..n]
SC
Single Circuit (panel) status
Panels missing in this file will not be placed
R="1"

C="1"
Columns [1..n]
S="1"
State [0,1]; 1 = placement, 0 = no placement
Data Validation
The NO_ROWS and NO_COLUMNS values are used to validate the data. The number of rows and
columns detected by the VIH option are compared with the numbers of rows and columns seen by
the external system.
NO_SINGLE_CIRCUITS = NO_ROWS * NO_COLUMNS
