Å The operational safety of SMD automatic placement systems can be guaranteed only if the
system is used as prescribed and in accordance with the instructions in the User / Service
Manuals.
Å The key for opening the control and servo unit doors and the key for the key switch should be
kept in a place that is only accessible by qualified personnel.
Å If it is necessary to work on the machine and you do not have adequately trained personnel
available, always call in a Siemens service technician. Siemens AG will not accept liability for
any damage or consequential damage that is the result of incorrect work.
Å Machine operators must only carry out work for which they have been adequately trained and
are totally familiar with.
Å Always follow all safety regulations as specified for your country.
Å Do not make modifications to the safety equipment. In particular, NEVER bypass circuit -
breakers or remove safety devices.
Å If particularly hazardous situations are identified while the machine is in use, the machine
owner must immediately notify the manufacturer in writing so that appropriate action can be
taken to reduce the potential danger.
Å Protective devices must NOT be modified. In particular, circuit - breakers must never be
bypassed and protective devices must never be removed.
Å If particular hazards are identified while the machine is in use, the machine operator must
immediately notify the manufacturer in writing so that the manufacturer can take appropriate
action to minimize the potential danger.
DANGER
This machine is electrically operated. When electrical devices are in use, certain parts carry
dangerous voltage levels. Switch off at the main switch and disconnect the placement system from
the power supply before carrying out any work on live components. There is a risk of death, severe
injury and / or considerable damage to equipment if these instructions are not obeyed.
WARNING
Despite all the safety measures taken by the manufacturer, severe injury (e.g. from the gantry)
and / or considerable damage to equipment may result if the placement system is operated
incorrectly. For the machine to be safe, it must be used correctly by qualified personnel and all
warnings must be observed. Some work on the machine (e.g. setting up) requires special
training that goes beyond the scope of this manual.

- in ihren Schutzeinrichtungen unverändert bleibt.

The operating voltages and currents of the machine, together with its
mechanical, thermal and chemical characteristics can result in personal injury
or damage to the machine if the correct guidelines are not followed.
The mandatory requirements for operating the machine are as follows:
- the machine must only be used for its intended purpose
- the machine must only be operated by personnel having the required
qualifications and who have received the necessary training and
instructions
- the protective facilities in and on the machine must remain unchanged.
It is not permitted to bypass safety switches or remove any safety
facilities.
If any fault is discovered the operator iswhile the machine is in operation,
obliged to report this in writing to the manufacturer so that corrective
measures can be taken.
