Å Log in as the administrator.
Å Set the screen resolution for the 15" monitor (for detailed information see the Software Version
Description):
Properties -> Settings -> Desktop Area 1024 - 768 -> Settings: Refresh Frequency 75 Hz
Color Palette 65536 -> Small Fonts.
Å The software for the touch screen is available on the installation CD (the disk from the retrofit
kit is not required) and is installed during the software installation process.
The touch screen may also be installed with the Microtouch Setup program on the installation
CD (directory: D:\Siplace\Micro..\Disk1\setup... ; use Express setup).
Å To accept the settings, shut down and then restart.
2.9.3 Firmware Upgrade
Carry out the upgrade according to the Software Version Description as of V502.01.
Note the following additional information. 2
2.9.3.1 General
There are two directories under C:\SR: The current versions (and only these !) of each firmware
are saved in the directory CanFw. The version is queried using the "Check firmware" function in
SITEST and can then be downloaded in this window. When a new version is downloaded, this
version is copied to the "CanFw" directory and displayed under firmware "check" function as the
current version in SITEST.
The CanFwPool directory contains all the firmware versions ever copied to the station computer.
These versions can only be downloaded in the windows of the relevant modules, for example,
the conveyor controller.
The icons of the function "Check firmware" have the following meanings:
- Red cross: Download is not possible, for example, due to wrong BIOS on
the module.
- Green tick: Firmware is available and has already been downloaded
- Yellow exclamation mark: Firmware is available, but is still to be downloaded;
Do this using the "Download" button in
this window. All versions with the exclamation mark
will then be processed.
NOTE: This only applies to applications; the BIOS firmware
versions must be downloaded individually -> select
additional tabs.

2.9.3.2 Conveyor Controller TSP210
Å If no firmware is available on the built-in conveyor controller:
BEFORE installing the station software, you should install the firmware for the TSP 120
conveyor controller (boot disk in MC).
Reason: If the station software is installed first, CAN bus errors may occur during the ICOS
download which could interfere with the download.
Procedure:
Read the new transport software on to the MC:
The winimage file is located on the station software CD in the directory:
\Siplace\Sip_mc\HS-50\Fd_image.TRP\TSP_S25
The disk is bootable.
The installation process runs automatically.
Å Always check the current BIOS firmware version using SITEST (individual download) and
reload it if necessary.
2.9.3.3 Axis Control Card (Type KSP-362; as for S-23 and HS-50)
Requires: 2
Technical Information 34V5060, for operating the CAN software.
Laptop (CAN terminal)
Å Check: If a BIOS version lower than 0207 is installed on the axis control card, then a BIOS
version 0207 or higher must be installed with a laptop (CAN terminal).
-> The laptop is connected to the CAN bus using a ribbon cable.
Å Using the CAN terminal, first read in the new BIOS (file: A0100207.hex) and then the new
firmware.
Help on using the CAN software can be found in the Technical Information mentioned
above.
Å CAUTION:
- Switch the CAN network 1 over to 1Mbit!
- Only select the existing axes, i.e. Gantry 1 and 2 and the two free axes.
Å CAUTION:
As of version 0207 or higher, the axis control cards can always be downloaded. This means
that you can then load the application (4.01) in SITEST or with the laptop.
The current version is located on the installation CD and is installed on the station computer
automatically.
Å After the software has been installed, you MUST use the "Check Firmware" function in SITEST
to check the current version (see below, Section 2.9.4).

2.9.4 Installing the V 502.01 Station Software
2.9.4.1 General Recommendation
Due to the large number of new features in the software, we strongly recommend that you read
the Software Version Description for the V 502.01 Station Computer software. 2
2.9.4.2 Installation
Å Check: The monitor must be installed correctly prior to installation (touch screen). If this is not
done, the software insallation for the monitor will not function correctly.
No error message is issued!
NOTE:
The touch screen may also be installed with the Microtouch Setup program on the installation CD
(directory: D:\Siplace\Micro..\Disk1\setup... ; use Express setup). 2
Å Install the V 502.01 software (CD from the retrofit kit, for article no. see Section 2.5). Proceed
as described in the following instructions:
Software Guide SITEST, V 502.xx, Item no. 00192656-01
if necessary, Software Version Description V 502.01, Item no. 00192395-01
Å AFTER installation, first upgrade ALL the available firmware (axes, TSP210 ...) in SITEST:
BIOS AND APPLICATION.
Å The BIOS versions must be loaded separately for each module.
Å The applications can be loaded in one operation (multiple download):
Click "Check" -> "Download").
2.9.4.3 Machine Data:
All files containing measurement data still exist as before.
All other files have been replaced by a database. A tool is available for changing certain
parameters.
Install this tool if required -> for instructions, see the "DB Editor" guide.
Back up the machine data on 2 floppies: Disk 1: Database; Disk 2: Other files.
2.9.4.4 Tray Description:
The coordinate system for trays has been rotated by 90° as of version 502.01 of the line
computer. All values refer to the edge of the tray (and not, as previously, to the carrier) -> see the
online Help system in the line computer and the Software Version Description LRU V 502.xx.
