TABLE 23 Placement Head / Feeder Position Relation
A.5.1.2 Feederbar Configuration
For FCM-II type machines, each PM/Laser Head has access to ONE
Feederbar_ITF. A WPM/Vision Head has access to TWO Feederbar_ITF.
A.5.1.3 Head Versus Feederbar Positions
The Feederbar_ITF has 11 slots on which a maximum of 6 8mm tapes fit
(TTF2_08, ITF2_08). These are then placed in slot: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11. Thus, it
is not possible to place an 8mm feeder in slot 1 and 2!

A.5.2 AX
A.5.2.1 Head Configuration
There are two (2) types of AX machines:
AX Base-3 (3 sections)
AX Base-5 (5 sections)
For each type two (2) different PM Types (heads) exist: CompactPlacemen-
tRobot and StandardPlacementRobot. The SPR occupies 2 CPR positions and
can only be placed on the odd (1, 3, 5, etc.) positions. The Base-3 has a total
of 12 Head positions and the Base-5 has a total of 20 Head positions. Each of
the heads (PM Types) has one TEU (Toolbit Exchange Unit).

A.5.2.2 Feederbar Configuration
For AX machine types, agroup of CompactPlacement Robot Heads and Stand-
ardPlacementRobot Heads have access to ONE feederbar: FCMII_upgrade (also
named section). A ‘group’ exists of 4 head positions.
A.5.2.3 Head Versus Feederbar Positions
This Feederbar has 44 slots on which a maximum of 24 8mm tapes fit
(TTF_08, ITF2_08). These are placed in slot: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 in every ‘head
position bank’. Thus, it is not possible to place a 8mm feeder in slot 1 and 2 at
the same time!
A Compact Placement Robot has access to 11 slots on the FCMII_upgrade
feederbar. A Standard Placement Robot has access to 2 times 11 slots on the
FCMII_upgrade feederbar.
A base-3 machine has 3 FCMII_upgrade feederbars (3 sections). Head
positions 1-4 are section 1, head positions 5-8 are section 2 and head
positions 9-12 are section 3. The same applies to a base-5 machine, where
head positions 13-16 are section 4 and head positions 17-20 are section 5.

A.5.3 ACM, AQ-1 and D9
A.5.3.1 Head Configuration
An ACM machine can have 2 heads (Single Sided) or 4 heads (Double Sided).
An AQ-1-module and D9 machine are always Single Sided meaning they have 2
heads on the front side of the machine. A Double Sided ACM has also 2 heads
on the rear side of the machine. The heads are just numbered 1 and 2 for a
Single Sided machine and 1, 2, 3, and 4 for a Double Sided Machine.
