3.9.3 SIPLACE LDU E
The SIPLACE LDU E is used for coating flip chips and CSP components with flux. The flux con-
tainer slides with a linear movement over the dip plate and coats the cavity in the dip plate with a
layer of flux (predefined layer thickness).The parameters for coating a component with flux are
prescribed in SIPLACE Pro. The component is coated and then the flux layer is renewed. This
sequence guarantees consistent processing conditions for the components. The SIPLACE LDU E
is taken into account as an independent feeder module type in the setup. An implemented warm-
ing function allows the viscosity of the flux to be altered. It occupies 9 locations of an 8 mm E
feeder module.

3.9.4 SIPLACE PowerAdaptor E

The SIPLACE PowerAdaptor E provides power to a single feeder for offline setup. This device can
either be put on any flat table or can be attached to SIPLACE Preparation Table E (see Section
6.8 on page 304).

3.9.4.1 Description
The SIPLACE PowerAdaptor E allows SIPLACE SmartFeeder E to be used outside the machine
and setup area. The SIPLACE PowerAdaptor E consists of an aluminum frame with guide profile
for holding and guiding the feeder modules. As with the changeover table, the feeder module is
placed on the guide profile, with the slider guides, and is pushed forwards until the front centering
pin of the feeder module is fully inserted.

3.9.4.2 Usage
The SIPLACE PowerAdaptor E is used to check, maintain and repair SIPLACE SmartFeeder E.
It can also be used for setting up in advance for PCB production. The tape reel holder is also
mounted on the base plate. When a component tape is inserted, you can check or reset the incre-
ment, pick-up position and conveyor speed. The detailed user manual describes how to use the
SIPLACE PowerAdaptor E and the necessary servicing work.
