Sentence No.
7.1.1 Practical Example
Automatic width control failure (The case of SPPG1)
Problems Rail width does not become the setting width.
Causes Origin malposition of pulse motor. Looseness of the motor pulley of the pulse motor.
Remedies Adjust the origin position and return the origin.
ST axis origin detection error (The case of SPPG1)
Problems ST axis origin detection error occurs during the machine operation.
Causes
Since the looseness of the bearing fixed nut (with set screw) of the ST axis ball screw on
the servo unit section occurred, the inner bearing holder collar loosened and the
clearance was made between the bearing holder and the bearing.
The cause of looseness of the fixed nut is because the directions of set screw related for
tightening were not correctly on the design drawing. Therefore, since the set screw was
tightened without anaerobic adhesive (Loctite), the looseness of the set screw happened
by the progress of time.
Remedies
Tighten the bearing fixed nut and set screw of the ST axis ball screw and adjust the origin
position. Then return to origin.
To prevent the recurrence, insert the set screw which applied loctite to the nut and tighten
it to fix.
Calibration error (The case of SPPG1)
Problems The calibration error was not detected.
Causes Memory switch setting failure
Remedies
Screen clamp check marks ’NO’. (8000)
Change to ’YES’. (1000)

Stepping motor failure (The case of SPPG3)
Problems
If “SERVO MOTOR” on the main control panel is turned [OFF] and turned [ON] again,
the stepping motor can be rotated by hands after the stepping motor operation.
Causes
Driver failure (made by Daidensya)
Excalation of the electric parts
Remedies Replace the driver.
AC servo overcurrent detection error occurs (The case of SPPG3)
Problems ’14’ (overcurrent detection) occurs to AC servo driver.
Causes
Driver breakdown (made by Matsushita Electric Motor Co.)
Y phase short circuit damage of IGBT, causeless breakdown of parts or the abnormal
current were conjected to be causes by the manufacturer analysis conclusion
Remedies Replace the driver.
Sequence failure (The case of SPPG3)
Problems
Although the production PCB is on the XY table, the next PCB is transferred from the
loader.
Causes Detection is not stabilized for the color with the production PCB near lusterless black.
Remedies
Change the SC program so that the PCB does not be detected during the PCB
positioning operation.
