2.1.5 Safety Operation Check
DC power supply voltage check
1. Turn the power [OFF] and check the electric connections within the P783. (Make sure that they are
tight and without slack.)
2. Check the P783 DC power supply voltage with a tester.
=Specification=
Tolerance value : + 5V : + 5.00 to + 5.25V
+12V : +12.00 to +12.60V
−12V : −12.00 to −12.60V
+15V : +15.00 to +15.75V
−15V : −15.00 to −15.75V
3. Check the 24V voltage of optical module.
=Specification=
24V voltage : 23.5 to 25.5V
Safety limit operation check
1. Turn “SERVO MOTOR” on the main control panel [ON] and turn the power [ON].
2. Open the back side cover. (One of the lower covers)
=REMARKS=
There is AC servo driver.
3. Move the stage manually in the Y axis (+), (−) directions until it touches the mechanical stopper. Check
the ST axis driver must display the error No. ’38’.
4. Do the same adjustment to SQ axis (+), (−) directions , CY axis (+), (−) directions and CX axis (+), (−)
directions as the Y axis.
=HINT=
The machine must be turned [OFF] then [ON] to clear the error No.’38’ from the drivers between
the (−) and (+) limits.

1 block switch operation check
1. Open the front door and check the safety stop.
2. Select “START” on the main control panel and check if 1 block operation can be continued.
=HINT=
When checking (+), (−) limits operation (NC AXIS JOG movement), move the stage manually.
Return to origin and operate in NC AXIS JOG.
(+), (−) limit operation check
1. Check the machine is at origin.
=REFERENCE=
Refer to ’Operation Manual / Origin Return’.
2. Select ’NC AXIS JOG’ and check each axis (+) and (−) limits.
=CHECK=
Be sure to move the stage manually, and return to origin and then operate in NC AXIS JOG.
Emergency switch operation check
1. Insure that the power supply turns [OFF] when any of the emergency switches in 2 places on the
machine front and in 2 places on the machine rear are turned [ON].

2.1.6 Precision, Performance Operation Check / Manual
Operation
Main control panel operation check
1. Check an indication at normal of monitor screen.
2. Check input at normal of basic parameter and basic data.
3. Check the operation after returning to origin with selecting “MANU” from the main control panel.
Sub control panel operation check
1. Check that the corresponding operation is performed when each sub control panel switch is turned
[ON] and [OFF] and that the light on the switch turns [ON] and [OFF].
=REMARKS=
Sudden movement occurs when selected switches are operated, so keep hands out of the
machine.
Cleaner operation check
1. Check the sensor of solvent.
=CHECK=
Make sure that the sensor of solvent is set to dark [ON].
Automatic width control operation check
1. Check the origin return operation.
2. Input data and check the operation.
=REFERENCE=
Refer to ’Maintenance Manual / MAINTENANCE GUIDE / Stage Automatic Width Controls Motor
Replacement (Option)’, ’Stage Automatic Width Control Origin Adjustment (Option)’, ’Stage
Automatic Width Control Limit Adjustment (Option)’, ’Positioning Unit Auto Width Control Motor
Replacement and Origin Adjustment (Option)’, ’Loader and Unloader Automatic Width Control
Origin Adjustment (Option)’, ’Loader and Unloader Automatic Width Control Limit Adjustment
(Option)’.
Stage precision check
1. Check the height of the stage, stage rail and screen holder.
=REFERENCE=
Referto’MAINTENANCEGUIDE(MECHANICAL)/STAxis(StageUp/DownAxis)Origin
Adjustment’.
2. Check the rail guide parallelism.
=REFERENCE=
Refer to ’Maintenance Manual / MAINTENANCE GUIDE / Fixed Rail Guide Parallelism
Adjustment’.
3. Check the rail guide coplanarity.
=REFERENCE=
Refer to ’Maintenance Manual / MAINTENANCE GUIDE / Fixed and Movable Rail Guides
Coplanarity Adjustment’.
4. Check the support plate coplanarity.
=REFERENCE=
Referto’MAINTENANCEGUIDE(MECHANICAL)/SupportPlateCoplanarityAdjustment’.
