Notes on Installation, Transfer and Maintenance
Do not install or transfer the machine on the customer side after shipment.
To ensure perfect operation of the machine, including safety and accuracy, only the
marketing department or sales agency of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd will install the
machine or transfer it to another place.
Only the maintenance work on items described in this manual should be performed by
the customer. Please read the instruction manual carefully before maintenance work.
Do not perform any maintenance work on items that are not described in this manual.
Otherwise, not only breakdown of the machine but also personal injury may result.
When an alert label has deteriorated and become illegible, contact the marketing
department or sales agency of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.
Only a well-trained service person should perform maintenance work carefully
through for the machine in compliance with the instructions.
Before maintenance work, set the power breaker of the machine (SIGMA-G5S/
G5S2) to “OFF” and lock it with the padlock.
Designate a person who can have charge of the padlock key.
If the provided padlock is lost or damaged, purchase its substitute.
Residual voltages may remain behind for a few minutes in the internal devices
of the machine after power interception.
Before performing any maintenance work, be sure to wait for more than 10 minutes
until the DC power lamp and the charge lamp of the servo amplier turn "OFF" after
the power breaker of the machine (SIGMA-G5S/G5S2) is set to "OFF".

Alert Description Related Items
There are strong motorized and high-voltage areas inside the
machine. Special caution should be paid not to touch them.
Doing otherwise will cause personal injury (serious accident).
Only qualied maintenance personnel should detach the
safety covers.
The machine should be operated with the covers being
attached.
If a safety cover is detached, be sure to reattach it.
Be sure to close the magazine door before operating the
machine.
Do not disengage the interlock of the magazine door.

When the elevator unit is to be moved, pay attention the
inclination of the oor and difference in level. If the oor is
inclined 10/1000 mm or more, the elevator might fall down,
which might cause a serious accident.

Do not bring the tray xing magnet close to the area where
a pacemaker is implanted. Otherwise, the pacemaker may
be inuenced by electromagnetic impulses of the magnet,
causing the wearer to faint, etc.
