2. Various Functions and Outline of Actions
2.1 Various Functions
•
Direct Pickup
The placement heads of the main machine can pick up the components directly
from the pallet which was drawn out from the multi-layer tray feeder. In
addition, the pickup actions can be controlled nely.
•
Elevator/Pallet Drawing Speed Control
By setting parameters for the elevator speed and the transfer speed in the
component library data, it becomes possible to control the speed at which the
elevator should be moved upward or downward and the speed at which the
pallet should be drawn out to or pulled back from the traverse.
Therefore, the posture of the components being supplied can be kept stable.
•
Block Allocation Function
Up to 9 different pieces of component allocation data can be set for one pallet.
When small trays are handled, additional types of components can be allocated
by installing several trays, increasing the number of components to be used.
Moreover, not only grid-type trays but also staggered-type ones can be handled
regarding them as parallel-bank-arranged ones (overlapped grid type trays),
making it possible to make exible use of trays.
•
Magazine Batch Replacement
By replacing the current magazine with a magazine loaded with the required
components in advance, the replaced magazine makes it possible for
components to be changed collectively and swiftly after the setup operation.
•
Pallet Alternate Function
The trays having the same type of components can be set on several stages
(pallets) in the spare magazines. Every time the machine gets empty of
components, it automatically selects another spare stage which stores the tray
having the same type of components, making it possible for the machine to
perform the operation continuously.
By providing several stages with a group of components used frequently among
the component types, an interval of component supply can be prolonged.
The order of the pallet alternate actions is based on the ascending order
(advancing from a smaller step No.) of the magazine step Nos.
