the residual pressure

3 Clean and lubricate the tape cutter
To keep the tape cutter in optimum operating conditions and ensure a long period of use, periodic
maintenance of cleaning and lubrication is necessary, as the sliding parts wear out and the tape
debris clogs the part. In normal usage of the machine, yearly maintenance of the tape cutter is
recommended.
Caution:
Please leave the maintenance of the tape cutter to YAMAHA service personnel. The maintenance
involves risk of serious injuries and requires the person to perform complicated adjustments after
reassembling the feeder bank or the tape guide slope removed for the tape cutter maintenance.
3.1 Preparation
Required items
YAMAHA standard tool set
T hex wrenches (For M8, M6 and M5)
Thickness gauges (0.01, 0.02, 0.03 and 0.04 mm), same sized shims can substitute.
Cut-resistant gloves (For working on the cutter blade.)
Isopropyl alcohol
Used toothbrush for cleaning the cutter blades
Bamboo or plastic scraper. Metallic scraper is NOT allowed.
Cleaning cloths or paper
Brush for applying grease
Domestic vacuum cleaner
