Setting the Production Mode
The machine has three modes of operation, “Production”, “Idle” and “Pass”.
These modes of operation have different purposes as is explained below.
Production This mode is used during assembly. Parts are picked up,
inspected, and placed on the panel.
Idle Idle mode is primarily used during machine adjustment and
testing.
When this mode is selected, the nozzle moves to the part
pick-up position, and an actual part pickup occurs. Feeders
should be removed from the MFU at this time in order to pre-
vent problems caused by stray parts which may be scattered
around the XY-table area.
Pass Pass mode is used when the machine is not used in current
production. In pass mode the machine simply acts as a con-
veyor, moving the panel on to the next machine in the line.
Procedure
1.
At the [Main] screen, press [Production] then [Automatic] to dis-
play the [Automatic] screen.
2.
Select the desired mode from the “Product”, “Idle”, “Pass” can-
didates at the upper right of the screen.
3.
Press [Close] to return to the [Main] screen.
Note: Refer to the host computer operation manual for the procedure on how to
transmit production programs.
