Procedure
1. Start the host system connected to the machine.
2. Set the main switch on the machine to the ON “1” position.
3. Push the SYSTEM ON button to start the machine.
The machine boots up and the red [Logon] screen displays.
4. Pressing the [Operator] or [Password] fields displays a
keyboard.
5. Using the displayed keyboard, enter the [Operator] (operator
name) and [Password], then press [Logon] to log on.
6. The [Main] screen displays.

The procedures below must be carried out prior to turning off the machine

Procedure
1. Press the [Shutdown] button at the [Main] screen.
A shutdown confirmation message is displayed.
2. Press the [OK] button.
The machine begins shutdown processing.
3. Rotate the main switch to off “0” to turn off the main power
supply.
This step is necessary if the machine is to be left unused for a
considerable period of time, or if work is to be carried out at
the servo or control boxes.
Note: Do not turn off the main switch until the [The machine is shutting down]
message box disappears. Production information is being saved to the
hard disk while this message is displayed. This data will be lost if the
breaker is turned off while the message box is open.
