4 Requirements
4.1 SIPLACE X-Series, D-Series and CA-Series Software Components
4.1.1 Station
The station uses the following operating system configuration:
– Station computer: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (including Service Pack 2 and most
recent hotfixes)
– Machine controller: Microsoft Windows embedded XP (SP2)
4.1.2 Machine Components
The following versions of other machine components are required for the station software to
function correctly:

CAUTION
The functional statuses of the station computer, vision, machine controller and SIPLACE
Pro software must be compatible.

4.1.3 Embedded Software
You will find the used eSW versions listed in the eSW_Firmware_Files.txt file in the Documentation
directory on the installation CD.
The hardware status of a subsystem is identified by the 3rd digit in the file name.
The example below shows the file name of the BIOS for the main axes of the X-Series:
