For the cleaning to be performed during each shift you will require a garbage can and a vacuum
cleaner. 1

: Stop the placement process of the placement machine.
: Move both tower in the refill positions cassette 1.
: Open the cover and the protective door of the placement machine.

Vacuum the feed axes and the feeder modules 1
a Carefully vacuum the feed axes of the MTC and the tape feeder modules themselves.
There should be no loose components in the feeding area.

Pay attention to the crash light barriers in the process (see illustration on the left). 1

Emptying the waste container 1
1
s Pull the waste drawer together with the tape holder and reject box all the way out of the MTC.
d Remove the reject box from the side.

Pay attention to the tape reels. 1
1

: Empty the waste container into the garbage can.
: Vacuum out the area of the garbage can.
: Put the reject box back in and push the reject drawer back into the MTC until it engages.

Be careful of the tape reels when you push the reject drawer back in. If necessary, roll them back
up. 1
1
: Close the cover and the protective door.
: Exit the removal position.
: Press the Start button of the placement machine.

You will need the consumables for the weekly maintenance: 1
– Soft, lint-free cloths
–Ethyl alcohol.

: Stop the placement process of the placement machine.
: Move both tower in the refill positions cassette 1.
: Open the cover and the protective door of the placement machine.

Cleaning the rails of the feed axis 1
a Clean the WTC contact surfaces on the rails of the feed axis with a lint-free cloth moistened
with ethyl alcohol.

Pay attention to the crash light barriers during this process (see illustration on the left). 1

Cleaning of cassette guide rails 1
s Clean the cassette guide rails (in the control panel behind the safety doors of the MTC) with a
lint-free cloth moistened with ethyl alcohol.

: Close the cover and the protective door.
: Exit the refill position.
: Press the Start button of the placement machine.
