3.3 Precedence Rules in After Placement Inspection
It is important that all components with a placement position inside the area to be inspected (e.g.
components which are under a shield) are placed before the inspection is performed.
NOTICE
Use a precedence finder
It is essential that a precedence finder is used for placement of components which are un-
der shields or BGA components.
The precedence finder recognizes that a precedence rule (placement order) needs to be set for
placement positions which are underneath a shield or BGA. This precedence rule (1) is automatic-
ally prompted by the precedence finder, to ensure that the machine places all components which
will be under a shield or BGA before the shield or BGA.
