5.5.5 Performing Maintenance Tasks
Oiling the DP Driver Bearing
5.5.5.1 Oiling the DP Driver Bearing
C&P20: For this maintenance task, use the white combitip with Nye Synthetic Oil 200A.
C&P20A: For this maintenance task, use the black combitip with Klüberalfa DH 3-100.
Set the multipette to 1 µl.
Rotate the star three times and wipe away any lubricant which appears with the blotting paper.
Fit the removed nozzle back into place.
Remove the blotting paper.
Rotate the star so that segment 1 can be seen in the
center of the service hole.
Carefully push a strip of blotting paper (1) under the
service hole (2) between the head housing and the
raceway. The blotting paper should soak up any
excess oil.
Mark the first segment by removing a nozzle.
Position the multipette on the top edge of the locking
pin and apply 1 µl of lubricant.
Repeat this step for all segments.

5.5.5.2 Oiling the DP Segment Guide
For this maintenance task, use the blue combitip with
Thermoplex ALN 1001/00.
Set the multipette to 2 µl.
Clamp the rubber hose (1) between the Z axis and
the driver of the return unit.
Mark the first segment by removing a nozzle.
Move the segment on the Z axis rotor out as far as the
end stop. Make sure that the driver bearing is in the
center of the jaws.
Apply 2 µl of lubricant to the center of each guide
track (left and right side).

Move the segment on the Z axis rotor out as far as the end stop. Make sure that the driver bearing
is in the center of the jaws.
Apply another 2 µl of lubricant to each guideway and move the segment again approx. 5 times.
A total of 4 µl must be applied to each guideway.
Move the Z axis upwards again.
Make sure that the driver bearing is in the center of the jaws.
Turn the star on to the next segment.
Repeat this maintenance task for all segments.
Fit the removed nozzle back into place.
Oiling th e Z Axis Lin ear Guidance
5.5.5.3 Oiling the Z Axis Linear Guidance
For this maintenance task, use the blue combitip with Thermoplex ALN 1001/00.
Set the multipette to 4 µl.
Move the segment on the Z axis rotor manually out as
far as the end stop and back in approx. 5 times.
Hold the Z axis by the rotor, in its uppermost position.
Apply 4 µl of lubricant to the outer guideway of the
rail.
Make sure that the application nozzle is positioned
near to the guidance trolley.
