3.1.1.2. Ratchet area
Remove foreign matter and check the lubrication condition of the ratchet,
ratchet pawl, and pitch pawl that are assembled into the sprocket, so that
they rotate smoothly.

3.1.1.3. Take up reel area
Remove foreign matter and check the lubrication condition between the
gear on the take up reel side where the upper cover tape is rolled up and
the reel pawl gear so that smooth, continuous motion is ensured.
Especially for 0603 feeders, the check should be carried out with care
because the supplied chip is too small to be found easily by vision.

3.1.2. Removal of foreign matter on the sprocket and locker areas
If a component (chip) is held between the gear teeth due to transfer error or pickup error
of the component placer while components are supplied, pitch error or component supply
problems may result. Therefore, check for foreign matter whenever replacing the tape and
remove it. Especially for 0603 feeders, the check should be carried out with care because
the supplied chip is too small to be found easily by vision. If chips are accumulated
around the rocker, the supply rate may be affected. Therefore, eliminate the chips or
other foreign matter periodically by dismantling the rocker after removing the pins.

3.2. Troubleshooting
3.2.1. Defective component supply
Any defective in the component supply, such as the tombstone and flipping of the
component, separation from the tape, etc. is generally caused by irregularities in the
shutter area.
Deformation of the shutter
After the tape has been mounted, the proper height between the component (chip) and the
shutter is about 0.2mm. But if the height is too far away from this value, the component
(chip) does not get pressed properly when the shutter moves backward, and it causes
defective component supply.
Also, if the height of the shutter is too low and the shutter scratches the component when
it moves backward (without mounting the tape, move the pusher lever several times. If
severe scratch marks are left on the buck-up by the shutter), defective component supply
occurs.
> In general, solve this problem by changing to subassembly state where the shutter is
