Error number Description
D12816-1417 After upgrading to station software 505.04 SP2 problems occurred, because no
tolerance values were entered for the multicolor camera in the database. The
tolerance values have been entered.
D12975-514 On an HF/3 machine the TwinHead glass broke after an upgrade to station software
505.04 SP2 due to problems with the z and rotary axes. The error has been corrected.

7 Restrictions
- Revision of the Forced Setup Verification:
The forced setup verification requires SIPLACE Pro as of Version 5.0 and SIPLACE Setup
Center as of Version 3.0.
- Shutterless feeder – Teaching pickup position:
On an S-27 HM machine it may be necessary to increase or decrease the y axis traversing
range.
The functionality is not supported on S25 HM machines.
- Whispering of fiducials:
See the "
Whispering of ink spots" section.
The functionality requires SIPLACE Pro as of Version 5.0.
- Repair placement of components still attached to the nozzle
Placement levels are not supported.
Repair placement may be performed several times on positions without considering that thus
the flux media thickness reduces.
Before a setup change, deactivated segments must be activated or the nozzles have to be
removed from the deactivated segments. Otherwise the system would probably try to pick up a
new nozzle, although a nozzle is still available.
No automatic change of deactivated nozzles will be performed during replacement operation.
If the PCB cannot be completely placed due to the deactivation of a segment, the machine stops
with a track empty error. In this case, no automatic nozzle change is possible.
- Deactivating tape cutter
After a reconfiguration (component table / MTC) possibly all locations might not be available in
the Software Options before the first reference run.
- Improved error detection for "missing nozzles:
The function depends on the nozzle type and is not supported for all nozzle types.
- Connection of line computers:
The connection of the line computers is not possible for the machines HF and HF3.
- Shutterless S feeder 3x8mm SL:
The shutterless S feeder requires SIPLACE Pro 5.0.

Improved placement quality:
The vacuum check only works on modular DLM heads.
The vacuum check and the Z height check both depend on the nozzle. They only apply to the
nozzle types specified in the database.
The additional checks may lead to a higher rejection rate.
- SITEST test software:
Flexible dual conveyor: In order to be able to switch from a dual to single conveyor, mechanical
adaptations must be made.
- Traceability: Ist not possible to use umlauts for the board barcode.
- Fine calibration:
Fine calibration cannot be carried out if "Recovery Placement" mode is activated.
Fine calibration cannot be performed at locations 1 and 3.
Workaround: Carry out fine calibration at locations 2 and 4.
Fine calibration is not possible if an MTC has been attached.
Workaround: Remove MTC to carry out fine calibration and use a manual tray.
- The fine calibration can only be done for each gantry step by step (not for the whole machine in
one step) for the following machines: S-25HM, S-27HM, HS-50, HS-50+, HS-60.
- For the machines S-25HM and S-27HM the fiine calibration for 12-seg.C&P head has to be
done with ceram pads.
- For SIPLACE S27HM there is no fine calibration possible if a bero is installed as additional
stopper. Because the lightning unit can not be installed without restricting the pcb transport.
Note:
For further information, see the chapter "Supported feeders" in the software version description
for the SIPLACE Pro 2.0 programming system.
- Synchronous dual conveyor:
No ink spot recognition is available for synchronous dual conveyors.
- Mapping.
If multiple measurements are made during mapping, mapping will take approximately 4 to 5
times longer than previously.
- Diagnostics:
Not a feature of software version 505.
- Machine key switch:
Replaced by the menu command "Safe mode (Reduced speed)". Affects the main axes and the
star; ONLY with CLOSED cover.
- Short sleeve:
No software support (as for 504).
