$ad11 An error of different numbers for ascent edge (%d) and descent edge (%d) occurred
in the lead group %d during auto teaching.
[Problem]
An error occurred due to H/W problem or S/W problem.
[Solution]
Turn off power to the machine in the usual way. Wait 5 seconds, turn back on and
reboot the system.
$ad12 An error in which the height (or width) of a component equals 1 pixel occurred during
auto teaching.
[Problem]
An error occurred due to H/W problem or S/W problem.
[Solution]
Turn off power to the machine in the usual way. Wait 5 seconds, turn back on and
reboot the system.
$ad13 Failed in recognition because there is no bright pixel exceeding the threshold(%d)
value on the screen when performing ‘Auto Teach’.
[Problem]
Lighting is set up too dark.
[Solution]
Select the error occurred component in “Part” of the “PCB Edit” menu, and add clarity
to the shape of the component by changing the illumination setup in the “Profile
Editor”.
$ad14 The component is off the effective range when performing ‘Auto Teach’.
[Problem]
The component was so large that it covered the outline of the screen.
The component was picked being offset and extended toward the edge of the screen.
Foreign matter except for the component looked bright.
[Solution]
Register manually if the size of the component is too large.
If the component is picked being offset, Check through SMVision window to
determine the pickup position of the corresponding component in the Feeder of the
“PCB Edit” menu.
Remove foreign matter if it looks brighter than the component.

System Messages of the MMI and Solutions
$ad15 Failed in recognition because the number(%d) of recognized lead of the %d lead
group is less than four during ‘Auto Teach’.
[Problem]
The ‘Auto Teach’ function does not support the component having less than four
leads.
Lighting setup is inadequate.
[Solution]
Register manually the components having less than four leads.
Select the error occurred component in “Part” of the “PCB Edit” menu and check that
illumination is correctly setup in the “Profile Editor”.
$ad16 Failed to recognize the angle because the angle(%d) of the recognized component is
above ±20 when performing ‘Auto Teach’.
[Problem]
The pickup angle of the component shall be within ±20 degree when performing the
‘Auto Teach’.
[Solution]
Check the pickup status of the component, pick up at an angle close to 0 degree, and
retry.
$ad17 Failed to recognize because the number(%d, %d) of the recognized lead groups(%d,
%d) facing each other is different when performing ‘Auto Teach’.
[Problem]
Number of the leads of the lead group for which the ‘Auto Teach’ is performed is
different.
The “Auto Teach” supports CHIP-Rect, TR, TR2, BGA, SOP, SOP2, SOJ, SOJ2, QFP,
PLCC and FLIPCHIP only.
The component is defective when performing the ‘Auto Teach’.
Lighting is set up inadequate.
[Solution]
In the case of the asymmetrical component, register it manually.
Check if the ‘Auto Teach’ is available for the component.
Check if the component is defective.
Select the error occurred component in “Part” of the “PCB Edit” menu and check that
illumination is correctly setup in the “Profile Editor”.

$ad18 There is big difference in the radial distance(%d, %d) of the lead groups(%d, %d)
facing each other when performing ‘Auto Teach’.(Allowable value %d)
[Problem]
Lead group of the component is asymmetrical.
Lighting setup is inadequate.
[Solution]
In the case of the asymmetrical component, register it manually.
Select the error occurred component in “Part” of the “PCB Edit” menu and check that
illumination is correctly setup in the “Profile Editor”.
$ad19 The difference in value between the recognized lead parameters is big during ‘Auto
Teach’.
[Problem]
The Lead parameter values of the recognized lead groups are different.
The lead group of the components is asymmetrical.
Lighting setup is inadequate.
[Solution]
In the case of the asymmetrical component, register it manually.
Select the error occurred part from ‘Part’ of the PCB Edit menu and set the
illumination so that all lead groups are evenly illuminated.
$ad20 During auto teaching, the recognized foot length (%d) of the lead group %d is less
than the lead length (%d).
[Problem]
An error occurred due to H/W problem or S/W problem.
[Solution]
Turn off power to the machine in the usual way. Wait 5 seconds, turn back on and
reboot the system.
$ad21 During auto teaching, the recognized pitch (%d) of the lead group %d is less than the
lead width (%d).
[Problem]
An error occurred due to H/W problem or S/W problem.
[Solution]
Turn off power to the machine in the usual way. Wait 5 seconds, turn back on and
reboot the system.
