SCOPE

This guide is designed to serve as a quick and easy reference guide to the machine

critical settings for DEK printing machines.

This guide is intended to be used by ASM fully trained technicians and engineers only.

Reference is made throughout this guide to the Adjustments and Settings procedures

in the relevant chapters of the Technical Reference manual.

Safety notices in the form of PROHIBITION, WARNING, CAUTION and MANDATORY labels are

placed on the printing machine and throughout this manual to alert the maintainer to possible

hazards which may cause physical injury or damage to equipment. Refer to the Technical

Reference manual for full definitions.

WARNING

BOARD CLAMPS. EXTREME CARE MUST BE EXERCISED WHEN WORKING IN THE TOOLING

AREA OF THE MACHINE TO AVOID INJURY. THE FOILS ON THE FRONT AND REAR BOARD

CLAMPS ARE VERY SHARP.

WARNING

STRONG MAGNETIC FIELD. A STRONG MAGNETIC FIELD EXISTS IN THE VICINITY OF THE

CAMERA LINEAR MOTORS. THIS MAY PRESENT A HAZARD TO PERSONNEL OR EQUIPMENT.

PROHIBITION

ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD. AN ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD EXISTS WITHIN THE MACHINE

FROM THE CAMERA LINEAR MOTORS. THESE MAY PRESENT A HAZARD TO PEOPLE FITTED

WITH AN IMPLANTED CARDIAC DECVICE. THE MOTOR MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDS A SAFE

DISTANCE OF AT LEAST 15MM.

STRONG MAGNETIC FIELD. A STRONG MAGNETIC FIELD EXISTS IN THE VICINITY OF THE

CAMERA LINEAR MOTORS THAT REPRESENTS A SERIOUS HAZARD TO PEOPLE FITTED WITH

METALLIC PARTS.
