Grease Gun Kit
A grease gun kit that can be used for almost all Fuji equipment is available from Fuji.
The grease gun kit comes with most of the nozzles required to inject grease into vari-
ous types of grease fitting. Please contact Fuji to obtain the grease gun kit.

MEC-CP842-1.0E 5-21
The CP-842E/842ME requires the following grease nozzles, which are not included in
the standard grease gun kit.
5.2.3 Lubrication Instructions
Illustrations and tables explain lubrication procedures by machine unit.
Type of Lubricant and Lubrication Schedule
Tables indicate the location, lubricant, and schedule for lubrication.
The lubrication schedules are based on eight hours of operation per day, five days per
week (40 hours) and 20 days per month (160 hours). If the machines are operating for
two or three shifts per day or more than 5 days per week, then the lubrication sched-
ules should be adjusted accordingly.
Daily: Eight hours from when the machine is turned on. (After every
eight hour shift.)
Weekly: After 40 hours of operation. (Five days if the machine is oper-
ating one shift per day.)
Monthly: After 160 hours of operation. (One month if the machine is
operating one shift per day.)
Every 3 months: After 480 hours of operation. (Three months if the machine
operating one shift per day.)
Every 6 months: After 960 hours of operation. (Six months if the machine is
operating one shift per day.)
Annually: After 1920 hours of operation. (One year if the machine is
operating one shift per day.)

Locations for Lubrication
Locations for lubrication are indicated in the illustrations using arrows and numbers.
White arrows are used to indicate locations that require lubrication of the surface.
Black arrows indicate that grease should be injected into a fitting with a grease gun
(pump).
Note: LM blocks that do not have a nipple can be lubricated by applying grease between the block
and the LM rail (bearing mechanism). The grease that adheres to the ball bearings and roll-
ers will be taken into the LM block and thereby lubricate the LM block.
Lubrication Checklist
A lubrication checklist is provided at the end of this chapter. This checklist should be
used as follows.
1 Check the lubrication points shown in the illustrations.
2 Mark each check box after lubricating.
