5.3.3 Installation
● Insert the new endless toothed belt and fit the reduction gear.
● Fit the x-axis cut toothed belt.
● Mount the x-axis drive motor (see Section 5.2.3).
● Tension the endless toothed belt in accordance with Table 5.2 - 1 on page 5 - 11 and the cut toothed belt in
accordance with Table 5.3 - 1

● Fit the placement head. After this adjust the placement machine.

5.4.1 Spare Parts, Auxiliary Materials and Equipment
– 1 reduction gear, X axis, from item no. 00318552-01
– Belt tension measuring device, from item no. 00326015-01
5.4.2 Removal
NOTE
You should comply with the safety instructions given in Section 1.
● Undo the four hexagon socket screws on the tension rollers of the drive motor and remove the
X-drive motor. (See Section 5.2
).
● Remove the placement head (see Section 9).
● Loosen the endless toothed belt of the X axis at the tension rollers (see Fig. 5.2.1 on page 5 - 9).
● Undo the fastening screw (M4 hexagon socket screw) of the reduction gear by gripping the opposite end
with a standard screw driver (see Fig. 5.3.1
).
● Remove the reduction gear together with the shaft by carefully pressing the shaft out from behind and lift-
ing the reduction gear up and away.
● Watch out for the reduction gear shim washer.
NOTE
Each reduction gear is adjusted separately with its own shim washer. This shim washer must be reused with
its own reduction gear if the belt is to run precisely.
● Now remove the defective reduction gear.
