Greater risk of accident exists with the SITEST program, particularly from the cutter.
● Load the SITEST program, actuate the individual cutting strokes and adjust the position of the new proxim-
ity switch in the process:
-> Adjustment of end positions: 1-2 mm before reaching the end position the LED on the proximity
switch must light up.
● If there is a deviation, move the proximity appropriately and screw it in the position determined.
● Perform the appropriate “Final Steps” (see Section 14.1.17).
14.1.14 Exchanging the Empty-Tape Duct
The empty-tape duct has to be exchanged if damaged (e.g., dented in) because the component table was
moved into the machine improperly.
● Move the appropriate changeover table out of the machine or (in case of F4/F5) dismantle the component
table next to the WPC if necessary and remove the component table.
● Undo the bolts fastening the empty-tape duct (see Fig. 14.1.1 -> 8, 9) and lift the empty-tape duct out of
the machine.
● Place the new empty-tape duct (item no.: see Section 14.1.2) on the 2 pins and check the height vis-a-vis
the cutter:
-> The lower edge of the empty-tape duct must be as close as possible to the movable blade on its entire
length:
-> The maximum permissible distance is 0.5 mm.
● If there is an deviation, lift the empty-tape duct out again and insert the appropriate spacer discs (item
no.: see Section 14.1.2) under the 2 pins (see Fig. 14.1.1 -> 10).
● Tighten the bolts holding the empty-tape duct (2 bolts).
● Perform the appropriate “Final Steps” (see Section 14.1.17).

A second, strong person must be available for removal and installation.
14.1.15.3Removing
● Turn the machine OFF, disconnect the machine from the mains and turn off the flow of compressed
air at the compressed air unit.
● Move the appropriate changeover table out of the machine or (in case of F4/F5) disassemble the compo-
nent table next to the WPC, if necessary, and remove the component table.
● Lift out the tape chute (the tape chute is (the tape chute is just hooked in).
This makes the cutter easier to access for removal.
● Loosen the cutter’s compressed air connection (Y-socket union: see Fig. 14.1.7 -> 9).
● Remove the cover from the controller board (see Fig. 14.1.9 -> 14).
● Loosen the plug-and-socket connection of the power supply and the drive on the control board (see Fig.
14.1.9 -> 7, 8).
● Place the cover back on the control board.
● Loosen the bolts fastening the empty-tape duct (see Fig. 14.1.1 -> 8, 9) and lift the duct out of the machine.
● Get a

Never support the cutter, e.g., on your knees or thigh. This would result in serious injury.
The area under the cutter must be clear (e.g., do
QRWSODFH\RXUIHHWXQGHU
it either).
● On the left and right loosen the fastening of the retaining bracket (left and right) on which the pneu-
matic cutter is sitting on (2 bolts each, see Fig. 14.1.1 -> 5 und 6) by turning them just one turn.
● The 2nd person must now push the cutter away from his body slightly (until the bolts come free of the
slots) and then lift the cutter (incl. retaining bracket) out of the machine.
● Tell the second person to set the cutter down in such a manner as to pose no risk of injury even for per-
sons not involved. It is best to put the cutter right in the appropriate crate/container.

14.1.15.4Installing
● Make certain that the 2 bolts on each side, left and right, are screwed in as before, loosened one turn.
● With the assistance of the 2nd person, place the new “pneumatic cutter" (item no.: see Section 14.1.2)
into the machine (slots at the bracket -> bolts) in the reverse order of movement and let the 2nd person
continue to hold the cutter.
● The 2nd person must now push the cutter in the lots until the stop (the direction of movement is towards
his body). When it is in this installation position, tighten all of the bolts.
-> Check that all 8 bolts are securely seated.
● The 2nd person can now let go of the cutter.
● Set the empty-tape duct (item no.: see Section 14.1.2) on the 2 pins and check it height vis-a-vis the cut-
ter:
-> The lower edge of the empty-tape duct must be as close as possible to the movable blade along the
entire length.
-> The maximum permissible distance is 0.5 mm.
● If there is an deviation, lift the empty-tape duct out again, place the appropriate spacer disks (item no.:
see Section 14.1.2) under the 2 pins (see Fig. 14.1.1 -> 10) and securely tighten the empty-tape duct
(2 bolts).
● Remove the cover from the controller board.
● Make the plug-and-socket connections for the power supply and drive on the controller board (allocation:
see Fig. 14.1.9 -> 7, 8).
● Place the
FRYHU
back on the controller board.
● Make the compressed air connection to the machine at the Y-socket union (Fig. 14.1.7 -> 9).
● Perform the appropriate “Final Steps” (see Section 14.1.17).
